Accor plans to expand its hotel presence in Albania with five new properties in Tirana and coastal destinations.
The group currently operates three hotels in Albania across three brands. Its expansion plans will introduce Handwritten Collection and Novotel to Tirana.
Accor also plans to launch its Swissôtel brand in key coastal destinations. The new properties will add to its existing portfolio, which includes Mövenpick Hotel Lalez Durres, Mercure Tirana and Green Coast Hotel MGallery Collection.
The planned developments include five new hotels across Tirana and the Albanian coast. They will add to Accor’s existing presence and broaden its portfolio of brands and destinations in the country.
Two Handwritten Collection Hotels Planned for Tirana
Accor plans to open two Handwritten Collection hotels in Tirana.
Hotel NOÉM Tirana-Handwritten Collection is expected to open later this year in the Don Bosco neighbourhood, about two kilometres from Skanderbeg Square.
Local entrepreneur Emiljan Moçka is developing the 32-room property. It will also include a restaurant, bar and dedicated parking facilities.
According to the project description, the concept will focus on a personal hospitality experience. The hotel is designed for both business and leisure travellers seeking a more intimate stay in Tirana.
Adorn Hotel Tirana-Handwritten Collection will offer 25 rooms when it opens in 2027. The property will offer 25 rooms near Selman Stërmasi Stadium and Tirana Park.
The hotel will be within walking distance of the city centre. Its concept takes inspiration from the olive tree and Albania’s long tradition of olive cultivation.
The design is intended to create a warm and intimate atmosphere in line with the Handwritten Collection philosophy.
Novotel Tirana Planned for 2027
Novotel Tirana is expected to open in spring 2027. The newly built hotel will have 109 rooms in Blloku, a central district of Tirana.
The property will be about a 15-minute walk from Skanderbeg Square and the city’s main landmarks.
Facilities will include a rooftop restaurant and bar, a lobby lounge with a café and kids’ corner. The hotel will also have multifunctional meeting rooms, a fitness centre and underground parking.
Accor is developing the property in partnership with Elona Gjondedaj and experienced operator Jona Hotels Management.
Swissôtel Expands to Albania’s Coast
Accor’s Swissôtel expansion will include two coastal properties.
Swissôtel Qerret will rise seven storeys and feature 374 rooms. The project will include several bars and restaurants, conference facilities, outdoor pools and wellness spaces.
The property is expected to open in 2028. According to Accor, it will expand the group’s premium hotel presence on the Albanian coast.
Swissôtel Vlora will be a seaside resort in Radhimë, one of Albania’s coastal destinations. The resort will include 99 upscale rooms and a range of leisure amenities.
It is planned to open in 2030. Accor is developing the project in partnership with ULK Invest Sh.p.k., a premium real estate and investment specialist.
Accor’s Existing Albania Portfolio
The planned openings come as Albania continues to develop its international tourism sector.
The country welcomed 12.4 million international visitors in 2025[1]. Accor said the growth of tourism infrastructure is supporting its expansion plans in the market.

New Hotels to Join ALL Accor
Upon opening, the new hotels will participate in ALL Accor, Accor’s booking platform and loyalty programme.
According to Accor, ALL Accor members have access to preferential rates, exclusive experiences and rewards across hospitality, dining, entertainment and lifestyle.
The programme also provides members with access to Accor’s global hotel network.
