Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace hosted Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 for the second consecutive year, bringing the region’s bar industry together in Macao. The awards ceremony took place at Wynn Palace on July 28, attracting bartenders, drinks industry professionals and international media from across Asia.

The event also marked a milestone for Wynn, which is celebrating 20 years in Macao. From July 24 to 29, the resort hosted six days of bar takeovers, collaborative dinners, industry gatherings and late-night events.

The programme expanded Wynn’s “Wing Lei Bar & Friends” platform into a resort-wide programme featuring international bartenders, chefs and drinks professionals.

Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 Programme

The official programme included the Bartenders’ Feast, Meet the Bartenders media roundtable, awards ceremony and Closing Brunch.

On July 27, the Bartenders’ Feast took place at Gourmet Pavilion, the food hall at Wynn Palace. Wing Lei Bar was joined by Shanghai’s Pony Up and Goa’s Boilermaker for an evening combining cocktails, live music and interactive experiences.

The following day, the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 awards ceremony returned to the Grand Theater at Wynn Palace.

More than 1,000 guests attended the red-carpet reception and ceremony, where the annual ranking was unveiled. A post-ceremony reception followed, featuring food and drinks from Wynn’s culinary and beverage teams.

The programme concluded on July 29 with the official Closing Brunch at Wynn Macau’s seafood restaurant Drunken Fish.

Overlooking Performance Lake, the brunch brought together Wing Lei Bar, Bangkok’s Dry Wave Cocktail Studio and Jakarta’s Carrots for a final guest shift. The event also featured dishes from Wynn’s culinary team and Portuguese tile magnets as locally inspired keepsakes.

Wing Lei Bar & Friends Expands Across Wynn

Alongside the official Asia’s 50 Best Bars programme, Wynn’s restaurants and bars hosted more than 50 bartenders and chefs from Asia, Europe and North America.

The expanded “Wing Lei Bar & Friends” programme included guided tastings, guest shifts, collaborative meals and late-night bar takeovers.

Among the highlights was UNITY 2.0, the second chapter of Wing Lei Bar’s signature cocktail menu. Other events included the “Bartenders’ Bartender Takeover”, bringing together bartenders recognised by their peers, and “Behind Her Bar,” an all-female showcase of contemporary bartending talent.

The programme also featured “The Road Less Traveled,” focusing on emerging destinations and distinctive bar concepts. Other showcases highlighted Hong Kong’s bar scene, contemporary British mixology and Kuala Lumpur’s cocktail culture.

Following the awards ceremony, guests continued the evening at an after-party at the Palace Reserve Club.

International Chefs Join Wynn’s Collaborative Dinners

Wynn’s culinary teams also participated in a series of collaborative dining events during the week.

Chefs from Chef Tam’s Seasons, Lakeview Palace, Drunken Fish, Mizumi and SW Steakhouse worked alongside international culinary teams from NARISAWA in Tokyo, Smoke & Bitters in Sri Lanka and Masque in Mumbai.

The collaborations brought together chefs and bartenders from different markets, extending the exchange beyond the drinks industry to Macao’s broader culinary scene.

Wynn Marks 20 Years in Macao

The Asia’s 50 Best Bars partnership forms part of Wynn’s 20th-anniversary programme in Macao.

By combining the awards ceremony with guest shifts, bar takeovers and chef collaborations, Wynn used the week to bring international drinks and culinary professionals together across its properties.

Through its partnership with Asia’s 50 Best Bars and the expansion of “Wing Lei Bar & Friends,” Wynn continues to create opportunities for collaboration and cultural exchange between Macao and the international hospitality industry.
