
Red Sugar at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong Hosts Guest Shift Takeover
Get ready for a thrilling celebration of mixology as Red Sugar partners with six outstanding bartenders to serve up unforgettable cocktails from October 3–11, 2025.
3rd – 4th October Peter Kwok
The week starts off with back-to-back shifts on 3rd – 4th October by Peter Kwok, DMBA’s 2021 Bartender of the Year (North) whose knowledge and experience with Chinese ingredients helps him craft drinks that combine traditional flavours with modern mixology techniques, creating unique cocktails that are rich in Chinese cultural heritage.
6th October- Volkan Ibil (The Back Room)
Volkan Ibil from sister property, Shangri-La The Fort, Manila’s “The Back Room” is next on 6th October. Awarded 45th on Top 50 Bars Asia in 2020, The Back Room is famous for its speakeasy inspired aesthetic. Volkan as The Back Room’s main barkeep has a direct hand in creating some of their most iconic cocktails.
10th October- Wallace Lau & Jackie Ho
Winner of MHD 2014’s Bartender of the Year is local superstar, Wallace Lau. He continues the week of guest shifts on 10th October. Joining him will be Disaronno’s Brand Ambassador, Jackie Ho who has an equally impressive CV, having won the 2009 Diageo World Masters Beijing Cocktail Competition, and served as a judge from 2011 onwards.
11th October- Soko
The week finishes off with Seoul’s Soko on 11th October, most recently ranked 54th on the Top 50 Bars Asia 2025 list. Two of their most dashing bartenders have flown all the way from Korea to bring you Soko’s signatures. Known for being impeccably dressed, and a martini shaking routine that’s been rehearsed and choreographed to perfection, this final guest shift is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
