Minor Hotels has appointed Judd Rabbidge as General Manager of Avani Singapore Hotel, the group’s first property in Singapore, which is scheduled to open in Q2 2027.
Rabbidge joins the Singapore project from Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort. He has served as General Manager of the Maldives property since joining Minor Hotels in July 2024.
His new role will focus on the pre-opening and launch of Avani Singapore Hotel. His responsibilities will include team recruitment and development, operational readiness, commercial strategy and guest experience.
Judd Rabbidge brings 20 years of hospitality experience
An Australian national, Rabbidge has more than 20 years of international hospitality experience across Australia, the Maldives, Indonesia, Fiji and Europe.
Before joining Minor Hotels, he was Hotel Manager at W Sydney. He oversaw the pre-opening phase and launch of the 588-room property, described as the world’s largest W Hotel.
Rabbidge was Director of Sales and Marketing at W Bali – Seminyak from 2018 to 2022. His career also includes operational leadership roles at other Marriott properties in the region.
He has also held senior management positions with Mantra Group. These roles have given him experience across hotel operations, revenue generation and brand positioning.
Leading the Avani Singapore pre-opening
At Avani Singapore Hotel, Rabbidge will lead the hotel’s pre-opening preparations and launch.
He will work with Minor Hotels’ regional and corporate teams on the property’s market positioning. He will also oversee the development of the hotel team and preparations for operations.
According to Minor Hotels, the Singapore property will bring Avani’s focus on smart design, upbeat service and good value to the city.
Rabbidge said his immediate priority will be building the team and shaping the hotel’s guest experience.

Rabbidge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Hospitality, Tourism and Business Management from the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
Avani Singapore Hotel is scheduled to open in Q2 2027 and will be Minor Hotels’ first Avani property in Singapore.
