Javier Gimeno appointed General Manager of Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa

Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa has appointed Javier Gimeno as its new General Manager, bringing more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience across Asia and Europe to the Egypt-based property.

Gimeno’s background includes luxury hospitality, hotel openings, operations, guest experience development and multi-property management. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions with international hospitality companies including Marriott International, Barceló Hotels & Resorts, Regal Hotels International and other brands across China, Thailand, Spain, Malaysia and the Philippines.


Javier Gimeno Brings Regional Hospitality Experience to Luxor

Before joining Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa, Gimeno led the pre-opening and launch of Meliá Pattaya Hotel & Lay Beach Club in Thailand.

According to the company, his previous roles have involved managing hotel openings, developing operational strategies and building multicultural teams across different markets.

Throughout his career, Gimeno has also focused on service standards, sustainability initiatives and talent development. His industry recognition includes awards such as “Warmest Service GM” and “Friendship Ambassador”, reflecting achievements in hospitality leadership and community engagement.


New Leadership Chapter at Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa

As General Manager, Gimeno will oversee operations at Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa, located on the banks of the Nile in Luxor, Egypt.

Hilton said the appointment supports its continued focus on guest experiences and team development at the resort.
