Danang’s flagship course Ba Na Hills Golf Club heads to IGTM Cannes

Central Vietnam’s golf scene is stepping onto the global stage. Ba Na Hills Golf Club will represent Danang and the wider Vietnam Golf Coast at the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Cannes, France, the industry’s most influential gathering of destinations, resorts, and operators.

Before flying to the Riviera, the club will showcase its star power closer to home. On Saturday, 13 September 2025, Ba Na Hills Golf Club welcomes over 130 golfers from Vietnam and abroad for the IMG Trophy Tournament, a lively mix of sporting excellence, cultural connection, and community spirit.

The dual highlights reflect the region’s surge as one of Southeast Asia’s premier golf destinations, where championship courses meet striking landscapes and five-star hospitality.

At IGTM, Ba Na Hills Golf Club will be part of the prestigious IMG stand, spotlighting its award-winning course designed by Luke Donald, Ryder Cup Team Europe captain. Celebrated for its creative routing, dramatic mountain backdrop, and Vietnam’s only fully floodlit fairways, the layout has become one of Asia’s most talked-about courses.

“Taking Ba Na Hills Golf Club to IGTM is an incredible opportunity to tell our story to a global audience,” said Simon Mees, General Manager. “It’s not just about our course—though having Luke Donald’s only design certainly sets us apart. It’s about putting Central Vietnam on the map as one of the world’s most compelling golf and travel destinations.”

IGTM is renowned for high-value, pre-scheduled meetings with more than 40 targeted buyers and decision-makers, making it a powerful platform for forging partnerships, expanding distribution, and elevating brand recognition.

That story extends well beyond the fairways. Danang is now a world-class tourism hotspot, blending championship golf with Michelin-approved dining, luxury stays at properties such as InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and Novotel Danang, and a coastal setting rich in cultural heritage.

“Da Nang is evolving into a destination that can confidently stand alongside the world’s best,” added Mees. “We’re proud to represent both Ba Na Hills and the wider Vietnam Golf Coast in Cannes.”
