The Andaman-facing sanctuary continues its winning streak with MICHELIN’s 2025 recognition and a refined dining experience at Saffron
Perched on a tropical hillside with panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, Banyan Tree Krabi has once again earned Two Keys in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Thailand, marking its second consecutive year among the country’s most distinguished resorts.
Of the 62 Thai properties recognised this year, just 21 achieved Two Keys, underscoring Thailand’s growing prestige as a global luxury destination. MICHELIN’s hotel ratings assess architecture, service, personality, value, and community impact — qualities that define Banyan Tree Krabi’s ethos of refined hospitality and authentic local connection.
This accolade follows two national tourism honours: Thailand Tourism’s Outstanding Hotel and Sustainability Awards for Health and Wellness. At the heart of the resort’s appeal is The Rainforest Spa, the region’s first luxury hydrotherapy facility, described by MICHELIN as “where tropical serenity meets holistic wellness.”
“We are honoured to once again be recognised by the MICHELIN Guide,” said General Manager Haruethai Maneerat. “This recognition reflects the dedication of every team member and our ongoing pursuit of excellence in every guest experience.”
Saffron’s Fresh Chapter
Adding to the momentum, the resort’s signature restaurant Saffron has undergone a thoughtful transformation — from new porcelain and gold-plated tableware to inventive touches like a “Sorbet of the Day.” The refreshed menu showcases Thai classics with modern finesse, including laab gai thod (crispy chicken salad prepared tableside) and pla chuk khrueng, a revived Krabi heritage recipe of Andaman mackerel in coconut-rich curry.

“Our chefs are reimagining Thai cuisine with creativity and respect for tradition,” said Porntip Narangsiya, Director of Food & Beverage. “With MICHELIN’s continued recognition, Saffron’s profile is rising among both international travellers and local gourmets.”

The Resort
Banyan Tree Krabi features 72 pool suites and villas, including a seven-bedroom Presidential Beachfront Pool Villa, alongside a rainforest spa, beach club, fitness centre, and two restaurants — all framed by Krabi’s lush natural splendour.
