Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel has completed its hosting assignment for the China Open delegation, welcoming tournament players, coaches, officials and event staff since late September. The hotel said it received positive feedback on its service, dining arrangements and overall guest experience.
The assignment marked one of the larger international sports delegations the property has hosted since opening on September 15, 2026. It also provided an opportunity to assess the hotel’s operational readiness and capacity to accommodate large groups during its opening phase.
Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel’s Location Near Olympic Venues
Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel is located at the northern extension of Beijing’s Central Axis, in Chaoyang District’s Olympic Green. The area hosts sports events, tourism, business meetings, cultural exchanges and technology activities.
Nearby landmarks include the National Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest, the National Aquatics Center, or Water Cube, and the China National Convention Center.
The hotel is within walking distance of Olympic Park Station, served by Metro Lines 8 and 15. It is also a short drive from the National Tennis Center, providing access for tournament participants as well as business and leisure travellers.
Dedicated Services for Tournament Delegates
To manage the tournament delegation alongside the hotel’s opening operations, the hotel established a dedicated service team in advance. It adapted several procedures to the travel routines and schedules of athletes and event personnel.
For group arrivals and departures, the hotel provided consolidated check-in and express check-out channels to reduce waiting times. Room assignments and flexible housekeeping schedules also accommodated jet lag, match timetables and do-not-disturb requests.
Dining arrangements included extended service hours at South Market All-Day Dining and Kan Kan Lobby Lounge. The hotel also offered meal options suited to athletes’ dietary requirements.
In addition, delegates had access to the hotel’s 24-hour fitness centre and 25-metre indoor heated swimming pool for training and recovery.
Facilities Support Group Accommodation
The hotel has 666 guest rooms and suites, approximately 3,500 square metres of meeting and banquet space, and three dining venues. These facilities supported concentrated group arrivals during peak periods while the hotel continued to accommodate other guests.
Located on the 17th floor, the M Club provides breakfast, light refreshments throughout the day, and express check-in and check-out for eligible members and executive-floor guests. Meanwhile, Kan Kan Lounge offers a shared space for players and tournament staff to meet.
According to the hotel, participating players, coaches and tournament personnel provided positive feedback on staff responsiveness, dining arrangements and their overall stay. Tournament organisers also recognised the property’s operational coordination and service delivery during its opening phase.
