IHG Hotels & Resorts expands in Cambodia with Crowne Plaza Phnom Penh, featuring 276 rooms, modern amenities, and prime access to the city’s business hub
IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Phnom Penh, in collaboration with Continent Crown Investment Management Co., Ltd.
The property will be part of CG Fortune Center, a vibrant mixed-use development featuring office, retail, and entertainment spaces. Once completed, the 276-room hotel will strengthen IHG’s footprint in Cambodia and mark the introduction of the refreshed Crowne Plaza brand to the country.
Opening in Two Phases
Currently operating as VM Hotel, the property will undergo a two-phase conversion:
- Phase 1 (2025): 137 newly refurbished rooms and suites will be unveiled by the end of this year.
- Phase 2 (2027): A new extension wing will add 139 additional rooms, expanding the hotel’s inventory and meeting facilities.
When fully open, Crowne Plaza Phnom Penh will offer 276 guest rooms and suites, over 1,000 square metres of meeting space, three restaurants and a bar, plus a swimming pool and fitness centre.
A Strategic Location for Business and Leisure
Located along Russian Boulevard in the Pou Senchey district, the hotel sits at the heart of Phnom Penh’s industrial hub — home to nearly 40% of Cambodia’s factories and the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ), where more than 100 businesses operate.
