Reimagined flagship earns global acclaim alongside Dusit Thani Kyoto, spotlighting the brand’s design, innovation, and Thai-inspired graciousness

Dusit Thani Bangkok, the reimagined flagship of Dusit Hotels and Resorts, has been awarded a Michelin Key, one of the industry’s most prestigious new accolades celebrating hotels that deliver outstanding stays and exceptional hospitality.

Announced on 8 October 2025 on the official Michelin Guide website, the recognition places the hotel among Thailand’s most distinguished addresses and reinforces Dusit’s reputation for gracious Thai-inspired service, refined design, and world-class guest experiences.

The honour follows news that Dusit Thani Kyoto – which opened in 2023 – has also earned a Michelin Key for the second consecutive year, highlighting Dusit’s growing international prestige.

A Reimagined Bangkok Landmark

Originally opened in 1970, the legendary Dusit Thani Bangkok reopened in September 2024 after a five-year redevelopment as part of the Dusit Central Park mixed-use project. The new property seamlessly blends its rich heritage with contemporary design, inspired dining, and wellness-led luxury—earning numerous accolades within its first year, including:

  • Top New Hotel, Smart Travel Asia – Best in Travel 2025
  • Best New Hotel, TTG Asia Travel Awards 2025
  • Best Opening, Skift Global Innovators Round-up 2025
  • Best Luxury Hotel (Asia), Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2025

Kyoto Excellence Continues

In Japan, Dusit Thani Kyoto continues to impress with a Four-Star rating in the Forbes Travel Guide 2025 Star Awards. Merging Thai graciousness with Japan’s art of omotenashi, the hotel’s design harmonises Kyoto’s serene minimalism with subtle Thai influences for a refined yet welcoming stay.

“These recognitions are a testament to our teams’ passion and commitment to redefining modern Thai hospitality,” said Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer, Dusit International. “For Dusit Thani Bangkok to earn a Michelin Key within its first year, alongside Kyoto’s continued success, speaks volumes about our shared pursuit of excellence.”
