Fairmont Hanoi opening establishes a new luxury benchmark in the Old Quarte
From February to the end of April 2026, guests and ALL Accor members can receive a VND 1,000,000 credit per night to spend across the hotel’s dining venues during their stay.

Accor’s Fairmont Haoi has opened as the Farimont brand’s first Vietnam property in the heart of the capital’s Old Quarter, blending heritage-led design with large-scale hospitality and events infrastructure at a time when global luxury brands are intensifying their presence in Southeast Asia’s gateway cities.

Fairmont’s debut in Vietnam

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor, has officially opened Fairmont Hanoi, marking the luxury brand’s first property in Vietnam.

The 241-key hotel—including 38 Fairmont Gold rooms and 12 suites—combines contemporary design, curated art, and references to Hanoi’s thousand-year cultural heritage. The project was designed by Perkins Eastman and Aston Design, with an emphasis on integrating global luxury standards with local craft and narrative.

The opening strengthens Fairmont’s footprint in Asia and aligns with its broader strategy of establishing landmark properties that are closely tied to their host cities.

A landmark location in the Old Quarter

Fairmont Hanoi rises in the vibrant heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, steps from Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

The hotel’s architecture balances modern lines with Vietnamese artistry, while interiors draw inspiration from Hanoi’s relationship with the Red River and the historic Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long. The design language emphasises flow, light, and cultural continuity, creating spaces that feel both contemporary and deeply rooted in place.

Guests can choose rooms with views over:

  • The Old Quarter streetscape
  • Hanoi’s city skyline
  • The hotel’s inner garden

A forthcoming Presidential Suite will combine Art Deco elements with Vietnamese design motifs, positioning it as the property’s flagship accommodation.

Leadership perspective

Omer Acar, Chief Executive Officer, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said that the opening represents a significant milestone for the brand in Vietnam, describing Fairmont Hanoi as a “gathering place” designed to connect luxury, culture, and community.

Mr. Lê Tuấn Anh, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of GELEX Group (the owner), said the project is intended as a new city landmark that balances modern development with preservation of Hanoi’s cultural identity.

Dining and social spaces

Fairmont Hanoi is positioned as a major social and dining hub with eight food and beverage venues, including:

  • Tran Dynasty – modern interpretations of Vietnamese cuisine under Chef Luke Nguyen.
  • Hiryu – Japanese dining featuring sushi, teppanyaki, and private rooms.
  • Bacco – Italian restaurant led by Michelin-starred Chef Nicolas Isnard.
  • Pool Terrace & Bar – an elevated rooftop setting (to open soon).
  • 10 Central Café, YY Bar, and Fairmont Gold Lounge – currently in operation.

The mix of restaurants, bars, and lounges is designed to appeal to both hotel guests and local residents.

Wellness and leisure

Fairmont Hanoi features Cirua Spa, Fitness & Wellness Club, a 38,000 sq.ft urban wellness facility offering:

  • A signature bathhouse with hydrotherapy and thermal zones
  • Plunge pools, saunas, and steam rooms
  • Ten private treatment rooms
  • A high-end fitness studio focused on holistic wellbeing

Events and MICE facilities

The hotel introduces the Old Quarter’s largest 12,000 sq.ft pillarless ballroom, complemented by additional ballrooms and meeting rooms with natural light.

The overall MICE centre spans over 4,000 square metres, positioning Fairmont Hanoi as a major venue for conferences, corporate events, and large-scale celebrations in central Hanoi.
