Finnair boosts winter 2026 Thailand flights to a record 25 weekly, including Bangkok, Phuket, and a return to Krabi — offering more travel flexibility
Finnair is set to make its biggest-ever Thailand schedule this winter, operating up to 25 weekly flights between Helsinki and three Thai destinations — Bangko Phuket, and Krabi. The move strengthens the carrier’s long-standing connection with one of its most popular winter markets.
Up to Three Daily Flights to Bangkok
Bangkok remains at the heart of Finnair’s Thailand operations, with up to 18 weekly flights — four more than last winter. The addition of a new daily night flight from Helsinki offers travellers extra flexibility and improved onward connections.
The new flight arrives in Bangkok in the afternoon, allowing passengers to continue their journey within Thailand or start their holiday the same day. The return flight leaves Bangkok late at night and reaches Helsinki early in the morning, providing seamless connections to Finnair’s extensive European network.
“Thailand is undoubtedly one of our most popular long-haul winter destinations,” says Perttu Jolma, Finnair’s Vice President of Network Management. “Up to three daily flights to Bangkok meet the ever-growing demand, and the capacity is significant even by European standards.”
Krabi Returns to the Network
Finnair will also reinstate direct flights to Krabi, southern Thailand’s laid-back coastal haven. Starting winter 2026, the airline will operate two weekly flights — on Mondays and Thursdays — between Helsinki and Krabi.
The Krabi route was last operated in the 2019 winter season, and its comeback offers travellers another gateway to Thailand’s famed beaches, turquoise waters, and outdoor adventures, including rock climbing and canoeing.
“Krabi offers an alternative to Phuket for those seeking a quieter beach holiday,” Jolma adds.
Continuing Connections to Phuket
Alongside Bangkok and Krabi, Finnair will continue flying to Phuket five times a week, providing a well-rounded Thailand network that caters to both adventure seekers and beach lovers.
