Hospitality leader H World debuts in Kuala Lumpur and strengthens Southeast Asia portfolio with three new signings
H World Group Limited (NASDAQ: HTHT; HK: 01179), one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, has announced the signing of three new JI Hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The milestone marks H World’s first step into the Malaysian market while accelerating its presence in Southeast Asia with a diversified, asset-light growth strategy.
“By introducing JI Hotel to Malaysia and deepening our presence in Cambodia, we are extending the international reach of one of our flagship brands,” said Murphy Zhu, President of H World Asia Pacific. “Beyond bringing a highly recognized Chinese brand to new markets, we’re also delivering the strength of H World’s supply chain, development expertise, and digital capabilities to our partners in the region.”
Expanding JI Hotels in Key Gateways
- JI Hotel Downtown Kuala Lumpur – A 101-room property in the Dang Wangi district, developed with Saadiq Tri Venture, is slated to open in Q4 2026. Designed with JI Hotel’s new 5.0 concept, it will merge oriental aesthetics with modern functionality.
