Hilton signs new luxury and lifestyle hotels across Southeast Asia, adding nearly 4,000 rooms and expanding its Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, and Tapestry brands
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) continues to accelerate its growth in Southeast Asia, announcing the signing of three new luxury and lifestyle properties — Conrad Hoi An, Conrad Bangkok Sukhumvit Queen’s Park, and Tapestry Collection by Hilton Melaka.
These signings form part of 17 new hotels recently announced across six markets — Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines — adding close to 4,000 rooms and consolidating Hilton’s position as one of the fastest-growing hospitality companies in Asia Pacific.
“Our expanding luxury and lifestyle portfolio reflects the strong demand for Hilton’s brands across key resort and urban destinations,” said Clarence Tan, Senior Vice President, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “It also demonstrates the confidence owners and partners place in our ability to deliver resilient performance and sustained returns.”
Expanding Hilton’s Luxury Presence
Hilton’s luxury development pipeline continues to grow through its Waldorf Astoria, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, and NoMad brands.
- Vietnam: The Waldorf Astoria Hanoi marks the brand’s entry into the market, while LXR Hotels & Resorts Đảo Xanh, Da Nang will introduce an 80-room retreat in the country’s cultural heartland. Two new Conrad properties — Conrad Hoi An and Conrad Phu Quoc — will strengthen Hilton’s presence ahead of the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
- Thailand: Hilton’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property, The Rawai Phuket, will open on the island’s southern coast. The Conrad Bangkok Sukhumvit Queen’s Park adds a second flagship to the Thai capital.
- Malaysia: The Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur and Conrad Kuala Lumpur, both due to open in 2026, will expand the group’s luxury presence in the city’s commercial core.
- Indonesia & Singapore: The Waldorf Astoria Bali is scheduled for 2027, while NoMad Singapore will debut in 2026, marking the brand’s first appearance in Asia Pacific.
Scaling Lifestyle Growth
Hilton is also expanding its lifestyle portfolio — comprising Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Canopy by Hilton — to capture demand for character-led, design-forward experiences.
- Tapestry Collection by Hilton: Debuting in Malaysia with a new property in Melaka, followed by Nivata Koh Samui in Thailand and NHAAN Resort & Spa Hoi An in Vietnam.
- Curio Collection by Hilton: Recently launched KROMO Bangkok, with upcoming openings including Kahavadi Chiang Rai and The Nautilus Resort Langkawi.
- Canopy by Hilton: The brand will enter the Philippines with Canopy by Hilton Makati, and reinforce its footprint in Thailand through Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit.
Strong Outlook for Asia Pacific
Hilton expects to grow its luxury and lifestyle supply by at least 50% in Asia Pacific over the coming years, adding to its base of more than 160 operating properties. The expansion aligns with strong macroeconomic conditions, rising affluence, and sustained investor confidence across the region.
“Travelers are increasingly drawn to experiences that reflect local culture and values,” said Tal Shefer, Senior Vice President, Brand Management, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “Hilton’s luxury and lifestyle brands are well positioned to meet that demand, combining design, service, and authenticity across destinations.”
