Hilton Singapore Orchard — the largest Hilton property in Asia Pacific — has appointed Michael Janssen as General Manager, effective 15 September 2025.
Hilton Singapore Orchard Positioned for Singapore Tourism Growth
A hospitality leader with more than 28 years of international experience, Janssen will oversee the 1,080-room flagship hotel located on Singapore’s iconic Orchard Road. His mandate includes strengthening guest experience, driving commercial performance, and supporting the property’s long-term growth.
Before joining Hilton Singapore Orchard, Janssen served as General Manager of ANA InterContinental Tokyo and held senior leadership roles across Asia with InterContinental Hotels Group, including postings in Thailand, China and Indonesia. Known for his people-focused leadership style and strong commercial mindset, he has built a reputation for repositioning flagship hotels and cultivating high-performing teams.
His appointment comes as Singapore’s tourism sector continues its strong rebound, with international arrivals expected to reach up to 18.5 million in 2025. Strategically positioned in the heart of Orchard Road, Hilton Singapore Orchard is well placed to meet rising demand for experience-led stays from both leisure and business travellers.
With 1,080 guestrooms and suites, five dining concepts, and over 2,400 square metres of meeting and event space, the hotel remains one of Singapore’s most significant hospitality landmarks. Under Janssen’s leadership, the property aims to further strengthen its position as a flagship destination within Hilton’s Asia Pacific portfolio.
