Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the signing of three new lifestyle properties in South East Asia, including a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Phuket and two Tapestry Collection by Hilton properties in Chiang Mai and the Maldives.
The signings further expand Hilton’s lifestyle portfolio across the region. They also strengthen the company’s presence in Thailand and the Maldives as demand grows for distinctive, experience-led stays.
The new Thailand properties will join Hilton’s growing lifestyle portfolio in the country. Recent additions include Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton. Meanwhile, Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit and Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, are both scheduled to open this year.
The latest signings also support Hilton’s goal of surpassing 250 luxury and lifestyle properties across Asia Pacific. In South East Asia, the company plans to more than double its luxury and lifestyle portfolio.
“Thailand and the Maldives have long been lifestyle powerhouses in South East Asia,” said Alexandra Murray, vice president and regional head of South East Asia, Hilton. “These signings provide new opportunities to showcase our independent-spirited brands.”
She added that Tapestry Collection and Curio Collection are well suited to destinations where travelers seek experiences rooted in local culture and place.
“These signings reinforce our commitment to bringing the right brands to the right markets, as we continue to grow our lifestyle presence across key destinations,” Murray said.
Curio Collection by Hilton Arrives in Phuket
Andamanda Voyage, Curio Collection by Hilton, is scheduled to debut at the end of 2026. Located within the Andamanda Waterpark complex in Kathu District, the 246-key resort will mark the Curio Collection brand’s debut in Phuket.
The resort will join a global portfolio of more than 200 Curio Collection properties. Each hotel is designed to offer distinctive stays, high-end experiences and locally inspired design that reflects its individual character.
Guests at Andamanda Voyage will have direct access to the complex’s integrated retail and dining village. Central Phuket’s shopping complexes will also be nearby.
Moreover, the resort will offer convenient access to several of Phuket’s major attractions. These include the historic streets of Phuket Old Town, the beaches of Patong and Karon, Phuket FantaSea and Carnival Magic.
The new resort will further expand Hilton’s presence in Phuket. The Rawai Phuket is scheduled to open in 2027 as Hilton’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts-branded resort. The nature-immersive property will be located on the southern tip of the island.
Tapestry Collection by Hilton Set to Debut in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai will welcome its first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property. The hotel will join more than 200 Tapestry Collection properties worldwide.
The brand focuses on distinctive hotel stories, elevated design and locally inspired food and beverage experiences. In Chiang Mai, that approach will be reflected in a heritage building within the city’s historic Old Town.
The UNESCO-recognized area is surrounded by ancient moats and is home to more than 300 ornate temples. The property itself will reflect the artistry of Northern Thai architecture.
With 65 rooms, the hotel will combine Tapestry Collection’s independent spirit with a strong sense of place. It will also place guests close to cultural landmarks, historic temples, weekend walking streets and local markets.
Tapestry Collection by Hilton to Make Maldives Debut
The Maldives is also set to welcome its first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property.
Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is scheduled to open in June 2027. The 75-key resort will introduce the brand’s independent spirit to the destination while offering travelers an authentic Maldivian escape.
The resort will combine premium experiences with greater accessibility. It will also be conveniently located approximately 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, providing access from Velana International Airport.
Guests will have access to several dining concepts and a wellness center focused on relaxation and rejuvenation. In addition, recreational facilities will include a dedicated sea sports center and pickleball courts.
Hilton Expands Lifestyle Portfolio in South East Asia
The latest signings reflect continued owner interest in Hilton’s lifestyle brands across South East Asia.
“We continue to see strong interest from owners in South East Asia for lifestyle brands, supported by solid market fundamentals and evolving traveler demand,” said Maria Ariizumi, vice president, development, South East Asia, Hilton.
“These signings allow us to broaden our presence in high-demand destinations,” Ariizumi added. “We see clear opportunities to scale our award-winning brands alongside trusted local partners and unlock new opportunities in both resort and cultural destinations.”
