Kent Sun, Chief Development Officer, IHG Greater China, said:
“Holiday Inn has played an important role in IHG’s journey in Greater China. Since entering the market nearly 50 years ago, the brand has grown alongside the Greater China hospitality industry and continued to evolve with changing guest and market needs.
“Today’s signings reflect the strong confidence our hotel owners have in Holiday Inn’s long-term value and growth potential. Looking ahead, we will continue to leverage IHG’s global expertise and local capabilities to support our partners and drive the next phase of growth for Holiday Inn in Greater China.”

The 24 newly signed hotels are located across key cities and regional destinations, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhanjiang, Yinchuan, Hulunbuir, Nanchang, and Yichang, further strengthening Holiday Inn’s footprint across Greater China.
Among the new projects is Holiday Inn NECC Shanghai, which is positioned to capture business and MICE demand thanks to its location near the National Exhibition and Convention Center. Meanwhile, Holiday Inn Shanghai Caohejing will strengthen the brand’s presence within one of Shanghai’s leading high-tech business districts.
In Beijing, Holiday Inn Beijing Haidian Xibeiwang will cater to both business and leisure travellers in a well-connected urban area. In southern China, Holiday Inn Shenzhen Dapeng Jiaochangwei expands the brand’s presence in the leisure segment through its prime coastal location.
Holiday Inn 3.0 enhances efficiency and guest experience
Holiday Inn continues to refine its brand offering to meet changing guest expectations while creating greater value for hotel owners.
The latest Holiday Inn 3.0 concept combines consistent brand standards with greater operational flexibility. As a result, hotels can improve space utilisation, operational efficiency, and the overall guest experience.
Refreshed public areas and upgraded guestrooms are designed to deliver stronger performance across different market environments. In addition, more versatile communal spaces and improved room functionality enable hotels to better serve business travellers, families, and multi-generational groups while enhancing long-term asset value.
