Room Rates in Lombok and South Bali
Hotels across Lombok and South Bali are charging nearly a fifth more for rooms during this year’s Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia in Mandalika, according to new figures from SiteMinder, the world’s leading hotel commerce platform.
For stays between 2–5 October, which covers arrivals before the race weekend kicks off, the average daily rate (ADR) has climbed to Rp3,013,711, up from Rp2,524,821 in 2024 — a 19% year-on-year increase. At the same time, total hotel bookings are up almost 10%.
“The rise in ADR at the start of October is a clear sign of growing demand and shows how agile hotels have been in adjusting to higher bookings,” said Rio Ricaro, SiteMinder’s Country Manager – Indonesia. “With the Indonesian MotoGP on the calendar, it’s encouraging to see major events drive stronger results for local hotels and give a real lift to Indonesia’s tourism sector, as the country builds its reputation as a leading ‘sportainment’ hub in Asia.”
Booking Behaviours Shift
- Shorter stays: The average length of stay has dipped slightly from 2.48 days in 2024 to 2.44 days this year.
- Earlier reservations: Guests are booking further in advance, with the average lead time rising from 132.8 days to 147.7 days. Compared to last year’s event window in September, the booking window has stretched by nearly 18 days.
Ricaro added: “Fans are booking earlier, giving hotels more opportunity to connect with guests, tailor offers, and encourage longer stays that showcase the best of Lombok and South Bali — well before they arrive.”
