Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei Opens in Zhuhai–Macau Gateway District
Rooms are designed with a focus on comfort, functionality, and modern business needs.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei in the city’s key border-gateway district, expanding the brand’s Greater China footprint with a meetings-led, dual-city hotel designed to capture growing business and leisure demand between Zhuhai and Macau.

Overview

Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei is the newest addition to the Hyatt Regency portfolio, located in the heart of Gongbei—Zhuhai’s primary connection point with Macau.

The hotel is positioned to serve corporate travelers, MICE groups, and leisure guests who value proximity to transport hubs, border access, and the broader Greater Bay Area.

Hyatt says the opening strengthens its presence in southern China while responding to rising demand for high-quality international hospitality in gateway cities.

Design and Public Spaces

The hotel’s design draws on Lingnan cultural and architectural influences, blended with contemporary hospitality aesthetics.

Key features include:

  • A sky lobby with layered lighting and expansive sightlines
  • Courtyard-inspired spatial planning
  • Coastal and maritime design references
  • Warm, neutral material palettes throughout public areas

The overall approach aims to balance a sense of arrival with a calm retreat from the surrounding urban environment.

Accommodations and Dining

Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei offers 278 guestrooms and suites, designed with a focus on comfort, functionality, and modern business needs.

Dining Concepts

  • Xiangyue Chinese Restaurant – Cantonese cuisine and seafood, with design nods to Tangjia Old Town
  • Market Café – All-day dining combining Chinese and Western menus
  • Lobby Bar – Coffee, afternoon tea, and curated beverages with views of Gongbei Port
  • Regency Club – Private lounge with panoramic views of the Zhuhai–Macau skyline

Wellness and Recreation

Guests have access to a range of elevated wellness facilities located on the hotel’s upper floors, including:

  • Indoor heated swimming pool
  • Fully equipped fitness center
  • Dedicated yoga studio

These spaces are designed to provide a quieter, sky-level retreat above the city.

Meetings, Events, and Weddings

The hotel offers over 17,222 sq ft (1,600 sq m) of flexible meeting and event space.

Highlights include:

  • A 6,727 sq ft (625 sq m) pillar-free Grand Ballroom with a 22-ft (7-m) ceiling
  • A 3,767 sq ft (350 sq m) pre-function area with city and bay views
  • Independent lighting, sound, and climate control systems
  • Professional AV equipment and blackout capabilities

The Grand Ballroom features a high-resolution LED screen measuring 33.5 ft x 15.7 ft (10.24 m x 4.8 m)—one of the largest in the Zhuhai hotel market—designed to support large-scale conferences, weddings, and corporate events.

Why It Matters

Gongbei is a strategic hospitality location due to its direct linkage with Macau and growing role in the Greater Bay Area’s business and tourism ecosystem.

The opening of Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei signals continued confidence from international hotel brands in Zhuhai’s MICE and cross-border travel potential.

For Hyatt, the property strengthens its upscale, meetings-capable footprint in southern China at a time when corporate travel and large-scale events are gradually recovering.
