Can a midscale conversion brand Garner redefine value stays in Thailand’s resort city?
IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to introduce its fast-growing Garner brand to Southeast Asia with the launch of Garner Hotel Pattaya Central, opening later this year on Thailand’s east coast.
The signing with long-time partner Nova Park Company Limited underscores IHG’s push to accelerate conversions in high-growth markets. Since its global debut in 2023, Garner has already scaled to 51 open hotels across the US, Japan, and Germany, with another 87 in the pipeline.
The new Pattaya property will open in phases, starting with 153 modern rooms and suites, offering Garner’s signature blend of residential-style comfort, thoughtful design, and a focus on the essentials that matter most—comfy beds, free Wi-Fi, quality coffee, and convenient grab-and-go snacks.
IHG’s Vivek Bhalla highlighted Thailand’s track record as a brand-launch hub for the group in Southeast Asia, noting the strength of the mainstream segment where Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express already lead. Nova Group’s Eli Fineman added that the new brand will align with Pattaya’s growth as both a leisure hotspot and a key gateway to the Eastern Economic Corridor.
The opening will mark IHG’s fourth property in Pattaya and contribute to its expanding Thai portfolio of 40 operating hotels and 41 in the pipeline.
