At INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit, seafood on ice, lobster, Mediterranean mains, a ‘build you own’ egg station, Japanese corner, and chocolate fountain are among the broad spectrum of options in the new Saturday brunch.

Situated in The Kites Eatery on the hotel’s 31st floor, the new brunch on the first Saturday of each month this year from 12-3pm features a live band.

The brunch menu brims with delicacies, fashioned by executive chef Katisak ‘Note’ Pinkaew and his team at a series of stations, including Korean, Fine de Claire and Normandy oysters, as well as New Zealand mussels, blue mussels and cooked prawns. A half Canadian lobster, served with Spanish sauce, is available per diner.

The ‘build your own’ egg station isn’t any mere egg station. Think eggs benedict on sourdough with smoked salmon and salmon roe, scrambled eggs on toast with caviar, salad, avocado, tomato and mushrooms, and butter pancakes with egg and smoked bacon.

In addition to three kinds of salmon gravlax, the cold cuts range from jamón serrano, chorizo, and fuet to salami, pepperoni, and bresaola. By the bread station, the cheese selection includes brie, camembert, blue cheese, Manchego, Swiss cheese, Gorgonzola, and Idiazabal.

The fried station offers guilty pleasures shrimp croquettes, and layered potato with salsa brava and aioli, balanced by the soup station, a vast salad bar and salads ranging from caprese salad and grilled halloumi salad to ‘grilled octopus with olives, pickled paprika and olive oil’. The Japanese corner serves sashimi such as tuna, fresh salmon, tamagoyaki, ebi, crab stick, tako, hamachi and tobiko, and salmon roe.

Other stations include the BBQ grill station with lamb rack and chicken, pork, beef and seafood skewers, a fresh pasta station with crab pesto pasta, and a pizza station with truffle mushroom or four cheese pizza.

Dessert is a smorgasbord unto itself. The chocolate fountain is accompanied by fresh strawberries, bananas, churros, chocolate brownies, crackers, marshmallows, and meringues. There is a churros station, as well as assorted cakes, traditional Thai desserts, variety of granola and yogurt, and fresh seasonal fruits. ‘INNSiDE x MEK’ ice cream flavours include chumphon chocolate, coconut milk, and sun-dried banana.
