International Travel Expo (ITE) Hong Kong 2026 Returns 11–14 June, Strengthening Global and GBA Travel Links
Japan showcased a strong presence at International Travel Expo 2025 with business matching sessions, 13 public seminars, and a lively pavilion tour led by TV host Jarvis Chow that drew big crowds.

International Travel Expo, marking 40 years of connecting world destinations with quality buyers and affluent travelers

The International Travel Expo (ITE), Hong Kong’s leading travel and tourism trade and consumer event organized by TKS Exhibition Services Ltd, will return to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 11–14 June 2026. The first two days are reserved for trade, followed by two public days for travel enthusiasts.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, ITE continues to unite global exhibitors, professional buyers, and high-spending Free Independent Travelers (FITs) from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and beyond through dedicated B2B and B2C programs.

At International Travel Expo 2025, nearly 70% of trade buyers were from the GBA—including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou—whose combined GDP reached US$2.08 trillion, ranking as the 12th largest economy globally. Hong Kong alone spent US$28.9 billion on outbound travel in 2024, placing 14th worldwide.

The 2025 edition featured 502 exhibitors from 64 countries and regions, with 88% from outside Hong Kong. Among 7,627 trade buyers, 46% were travel agents and 15% MICE professionals, while 20% came from other Asian markets.

On the consumer side, ITE 2025 welcomed 70,212 public visitors, representing affluent and frequent travelers who influence travel demand. Nearly half (48%) took three or more overseas trips in the first half of the year, 87% preferred FIT short-haul travel, and 91% maintained or increased spending. Notably, 43% showed interest in on-site bookings, underscoring strong conversion potential.

Japan, a long-standing ITE partner since 2009, continued its strong presence with business matching sessions, 13 public seminars, and a TV-host-led pavilion tour that attracted large crowds. In 2024, 2.68 million Hong Kong visitors traveled to Japan—117% of pre-pandemic levels—with nearly 89% as FITs.

ITE is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the P.R. China, which stages the largest national pavilion, along with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and other industry partners.
