HANGZHOU, ChinaShangri-La Group has officially introduced its JEN by Shangri-La lifestyle brand to Hangzhou with the soft opening of JEN Hangzhou by Shangri-La. The launch marks the brand’s first hotel in the city and its 10th property worldwide.

Inspired by JEN’s “Live New Asia” philosophy, the hotel combines Hangzhou’s rich cultural heritage with its fast-growing urban lifestyle. Designed as a vibrant social hub, JEN Hangzhou invites travellers and local residents to connect, exchange ideas and experience the city from a fresh perspective.

A Lifestyle Hotel Rooted in Hangzhou’s Industrial Heritage

Located in Gongshu District, JEN Hangzhou occupies the former site of the historic Hangzhou Oxygen Plant within Hangzhou Kerry Plaza.

The hotel’s architecture preserves elements of the site’s industrial past, including exposed brick walls, while floor-to-ceiling glass introduces a contemporary residential feel. Throughout the property, artworks inspired by the city’s urban culture and the historic Grand Canal celebrate Hangzhou’s close relationship with its waterways.

Guests are also within easy reach of major attractions, including the Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Qiaoxi Historic District. In addition, convenient transport connections make the hotel well suited for both leisure and business travellers.
