Korean Air will launch a new non-stop service between Seoul Incheon and Melbourne from December 18, 2026, through March 14, 2027.
The seasonal route will operate three times a week. It will give travelers more non-stop options between South Korea and Australia during the peak winter travel period.
New Seasonal Service to Melbourne
The new Melbourne service reflects steady growth in travel between South Korea and Australia.
Korean Air already operates year-round services to Sydney and Brisbane. The new route will complement these flights and expand the airline’s non-stop network to Australia.
Melbourne is home to more than 5.3 million residents. The city is also a major metropolitan center known for its culture, arts, gastronomy, sports and education.
As a result, the new service will support growing cultural, business and leisure exchanges between South Korea and Australia.
Three Flights a Week
Korean Air will operate the route with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Flights will depart Seoul Incheon on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight KE409 will leave Seoul at 8:00 AM and arrive in Melbourne at 8:30 PM.
The return service, KE410, will depart Melbourne at 10:00 PM. It will arrive at Seoul Incheon at 7:35 AM the following day.
The schedule gives travelers a convenient overnight return option. It also provides additional flexibility for both leisure and business trips.
