Laurent Herschbach has been appointed General Manager of Metropole Monte-Carlo, effective October 1, 2026

Metropole Monte-Carlo has appointed Laurent Herschbach as General Manager, effective October 1, 2026.

Herschbach joins the Monaco hotel after 30 years at the Ritz Paris, bringing experience across hotel operations and senior management. He will lead Metropole Monte-Carlo as the property enters its next chapter while maintaining its Monegasque identity.

He succeeds Klaus Kabelitz, who served as Interim General Manager during the peak season.


Laurent Herschbach’s Career at the Ritz Paris

Herschbach joined the Ritz Paris in 1997 and progressed from front desk roles to General Manager.

During his career at the hotel, he held several senior positions, including Director of Rooms, Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Operations and Hotel Director.

The company said this range of roles gave Herschbach experience across the main areas of hotel operations.


Education and Hotel Management Training

Herschbach is a graduate of the École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg.

He also completed hotel management studies at Cornell University and further training in finance at HEC Paris.

His appointment takes effect on October 1, 2026, when he will succeed Kabelitz as General Manager of Metropole Monte-Carlo.
