Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has appointed Paul Jones as General Manager, bringing him back to the hotel where he first joined Mandarin Oriental more than two decades ago.
Jones previously served as Hotel Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok from 2005 to 2008. Meanwhile, his return comes as the hotel marks its 150th anniversary.
Jones Returns to Bangkok
Following senior leadership roles with Mandarin Oriental across Asia and Europe, Jones returns to Bangkok. His career has included General Manager appointments at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore; Mandarin Oriental, Taipei; Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo; and, most recently, Mandarin Oriental, Geneva.
The appointment comes as Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok marks its 150th anniversary.

The appointment gives Jones responsibility for the Bangkok property as it reaches its 150-year milestone.
More Than Three Decades in Hospitality
Jones has more than three decades of hospitality experience across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Before joining Mandarin Oriental, he served as General Manager of The Oberoi Rajvilas and The Oberoi Vanyavilas in Rajasthan. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions in the Middle East and London.
Overall, his latest appointment marks a return to Bangkok after senior management roles across several Mandarin Oriental properties in Asia and Europe.
