The reopening introduces a redesigned arrival experience beginning at a new entrance on Queen’s Road Central, adjacent to the LANDMARK complex in Hong Kong’s Central district. The arrival sequence and interiors were created by Hong Kong-based architect Joyce Wang, founder of Joyce Wang Studio.
The design concept references the grand residential architecture of historic Hong Kong homes. Terracotta tones and deep greens draw inspiration from heritage properties such as Yu Yuen and Tai Fu Tai, blending traditional influences with contemporary design elements.
A curved stone staircase connects the mansion-style foyer to a more intimate lobby lounge above. Along the ascent, alcoves display commissioned artworks inspired by the Hong Kong skyline, reflected in carpet motifs, tapestries and gilded mirrors across lifts and corridors.
The hotel’s 109 guestrooms and suites have been completely redesigned to extend the residential design narrative. Entry-level L450 rooms begin at 42 square metres and feature timber floors, Fromental silk wall coverings and bespoke rugs inspired by historic brickwork patterns across the city.
Higher-category L600 rooms and above retain the hotel’s signature curved glass-walled bathrooms centred around a seven-foot circular bathtub.
The largest accommodation category, the Entertainment Suite, spans 167 square metres. It includes a Gaggenau kitchen, private dining space for eight guests, a master bedroom and the FreshBed climate-controlled sleep system.
Seven Michelin Stars Under One Roof
