Marriott Debuts Autograph Collection in Nepal
Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotels makes its debut in South Asia with the opening of The Soaltee Kathmandu, Autograph Collection in Nepal. This will be Marriott Bonvoy’s 19th brand in the South Asia region (India, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka).
Located in the heart of Kathmandu, The Soaltee Kathmandu features 285 rooms, including suites. The hotel is situated on 12 acres of landscaped grounds in the Tahachal area of the city. This property, with a history dating back to 1966, has been a notable destination for various dignitaries and celebrities over the years.

The hotel’s design incorporates traditional Nepalese motifs and contemporary elements, reflecting the cultural heritage of Nepal. Guest rooms and suites are designed with a blend of local artistry and modern amenities. The property offers panoramic views of the Himalayan range and the Swoyambhunath Stupa.
Dining options at The Soaltee Kathmandu include the Garden Terrace, an all-day dining restaurant; Kakori, which features Awadhi-Indian specialties; Bao Xuan, offering authentic Chinese cuisine; and Patio, which provides open-air dining with live music. The hotel also houses Rodi Bar and the Sports Lounge for entertainment and drinks.
For wellness, the hotel is also equipped with an indulgent spa offering a thoughtful selection of therapeutic and relaxing treatments blending time-honored traditions with modern techniques such as Hot Stone Therapy, Shirodhara, and the Traditional Newari Massage. Complementing the wellness journey, guests can also unwind at the outdoor swimming pool, enjoy a game of tennis on the hotel’s clay court, or workout at the fully equipped, 24-hour fitness center, featuring state of the art facilities.
