“Madarao Kogen Hotel and Lime Resort Myoko joining MGallery Collection marks a new chapter for our collection in Asia — where nature, design, and culture converge,” said Maud Bailly, CEO Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems.

Madarao Kogen Hotel – Alpine luxury on Mt. Madarao
Located in northern Nagano Prefecture, Madarao Kogen is famed for its abundant “Madapow” powder snow and 15 official tree-skiing courses — the most in Japan. Reopening in late 2027 after a full transformation, the resort will feature 80 rooms, alpine-Japanese minimalist suites, multiple restaurants, a lobby lounge, a Ski Diner on the slopes, a pool bar, onsen baths, and leisure facilities for a complete winter and wellness escape.
Lime Resort Myoko – Wellness at Mt. Myoko
At the base of Mt. Myoko, Lime Resort will reopen in Winter 2026 as a modern wellness-focused retreat with 38 rooms, onsen facilities, a fitness area, kids club, and curated dining. Mt. Myoko offers some of Japan’s heaviest snowfall and long ski runs, while the surrounding national park provides year-round outdoor experiences.
Connected resorts, year-round experiences
Just 30 minutes apart, the resorts will be linked by a dedicated shuttle and connect to Patience Capital Group’s nearby leisure assets, including Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort and Nagano Dunes Golf Club. Guests can explore Togakushi Shrine, Naenataki Falls, Lake Nojiri, Numanohara Wetlands, and Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park. Activities include skiing, hiking, cycling, and forest bathing, with easy access from Tokyo by train or car.
A visionary partnership
Sustainability is central to the renovations, with local materials and energy-efficient technologies. “Together with MGallery’s global reach, we aim to redefine four-season resort living — blending nature, culture, and hospitality,” said Ken Chan, Founder, CEO, and CIO of Patience Capital Group.
MGallery in Asia-Pacific
With over 120 hotels globally and 38 in Asia-Pacific and China, these two properties mark MGallery’s second and third resorts in Japan, reinforcing the brand’s focus on story-driven, authentic luxury experiences.
