Millennium Hotels marks 30 years with a global celebration, reflecting its Singaporean roots, worldwide growth, and commitment to hospitality excellence

Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) marked its 30th anniversary with an elegant cocktail event at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, celebrating three decades of excellence in hospitality. The event brought together distinguished guests, partners, and associates, including Executive Chairman Mr. Kwek Leng Beng and Guest of Honour, former Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Heng Swee Keat.

The celebration also connected employees from across the globe, from London and New York to New Zealand and China, joining virtually to honour the brand’s international family and shared pride in its 30-year journey.

From Singapore Roots to Global Presence

Founded with the opening of King’s Hotel in 1970, Millennium Hotels and Resorts has grown into a global network of over 150 properties spanning Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Despite its worldwide expansion, the brand has remained true to its Singaporean heritage of warmth, service, and efficiency.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Kwek reflected on the journey:

“When we first embarked on this journey, our vision was clear: to build a Singapore-born hospitality brand that could stand alongside the very best in the world. Thirty years on, that vision has become a proud reality. From London to Beijing, Dubai to New York, our hotels have welcomed guests from every corner of the globe.”

He emphasised that MHR’s success is a result of dedicated teams, trusted partners, and loyal guests, and expressed aspirations for continued global expansion with Singapore’s flag proudly flying in key cities worldwide.
