Minor Hotels Appoints Kanruethai Roongruang as General Manager of Avani+ Hua Hin Resort

Minor Hotels has appointed Kanruethai Roongruang as General Manager of Avani+ Hua Hin Resort in Thailand. She brings more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience across Thailand, the Maldives, and international resort operations, with a strong background in wellness, commercial strategy, and luxury hospitality management.


Minor Hotels, a global hospitality leader with more than 640 properties in operation and development across 66 countries, has announced the appointment of Kanruethai Roongruang as General Manager of Avani+ Hua Hin Resort in Thailand.

Originally from Phuket, Thailand, Kanruethai brings over 25 years of hospitality experience across both domestic and international markets, with expertise spanning resort operations, wellness, commercial strategy, business development, and luxury hospitality leadership.

Most recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Island Escape Burasari and Burasari Residences in Phuket where she led overall strategic direction, resort operations, commercial performance, property development, and team leadership. Her responsibilities included overseeing operations at Island Escape Burasari on Coconut Island.

Her career also includes senior leadership roles within Banyan Group across Thailand and the Maldives. As General Manager of Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru in the Maldives, she managed integrated resort operations across two island properties.
