Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon, a new beachfront resort on the Indonesian island of Bintan.
Located on Bintan’s northern coast and easily accessible by ferry from Singapore, the resort brings Mövenpick’s generous hospitality and convivial culinary spirit to a relaxed island setting designed for time well spent together.
The resort welcomes families, couples, friends, teams and business travellers. It combines accommodation, dining, recreation, wellness, golf, and extensive meetings and events facilities in one beachfront destination.
408 Rooms and Suites Overlooking the Gardens and Sea
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon features 408 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or sea.
Accommodation options range from Deluxe Rooms and Premium Terrace Rooms to Junior, Executive, Ambassador and Presidential Suites. Contemporary interiors cater to both short breaks and longer stays.
Dining Experiences Bring Guests Together
Culinary experiences sit at the heart of the Mövenpick experience, creating opportunities for guests to gather throughout the day.
Port 19, the all-day dining restaurant, serves Indonesian, Asian and international cuisine alongside live cooking stations. Meanwhile, Yokatta Izakaya & Bar offers Japanese favourites, including sushi, udon, yakitori and sake.
Klon-Tong Deli takes inspiration from Bintan in the 1980s and serves pastries, ice cream, local specialities and coffee. For a more casual setting, the Recreation Village Sports Lounge combines dining with live sports, while Ocean Pool Bar offers drinks and light bites from its swim-up setting.
On the beachfront, the two-storey Soñada Beach Club serves Pan-Asian and Italian dishes alongside cocktails. Guests can also enjoy its pool, beachfront cabanas and weekend DJ sessions.
The resort also offers Mövenpick’s signature Chocolate Hour, a daily ritual that invites guests to pause and reconnect over the simple joy of chocolate.

Recreation, Family Activities and Water Sports
Recreation forms a key part of the resort experience, with spaces and activities designed to encourage guests to spend meaningful time together.
The Recreation Village brings together fitness, sports, family activities and casual dining. Guests can join yoga and Pilates sessions, use the fitness centre or simply relax between organised activities.
Younger guests have their own dedicated spaces at Little Birds Club, which features indoor and outdoor play areas, arts and crafts, and interactive activities.
Elsewhere, guests can enjoy swimming pools, kayaking, paddleboarding and other non-motorised water sports.
Two Championship Golf Courses and Island Wellness
Guests also have access to Bintan Lagoon International Golf, home to two 18-hole golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Ian Baker-Finch.
For relaxation, Shantara Spa & Wellness offers private treatment rooms, couples’ rooms, reflexology and facial treatments, as well as a sauna and steam room.
Its treatment menu combines massage, movement and wellness rituals inspired by the island and regional traditions.
More Than 2,000 Square Metres of Event Space
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon also caters to meetings, incentives, weddings and social events with more than 2,000 square metres of event space.
At the centre of the facilities is a 900-square-metre Grand Ballroom, complemented by flexible function spaces for meetings, conferences and celebrations.
Outdoor areas throughout the beachfront resort provide further options for team activities, private gatherings and special occasions.
