
Park Hyatt London River Thames has appointed Eike Clausen as General Manager, effective immediately. Clausen brings nearly two decades of international luxury hospitality experience to the role. His background spans hotel operations, commercial leadership and employee development.
Throughout his career, Clausen has lived and worked across four continents, eight countries and nine hotels. As a result, he has gained extensive experience across diverse international hospitality markets.
Eike Clausen Brings Extensive Kempinski Experience
Before joining Park Hyatt London River Thames, Clausen served as Cluster General Manager of Kempinski Palace Portorož in Slovenia and Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Savudrija, Croatia.
He spent a significant part of his career with Kempinski Hotels. During that time, he held senior roles across sales and marketing, rooms division and executive management. He later took on his first General Manager position at Kempinski Hotel Aqaba in Jordan.
Clausen is a graduate of École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). He began his hospitality career as a sales trainee before moving into roles covering guest services, commercial performance, hotel operations and team development.
Focus on Hospitality Education and Team Development
Alongside his hotel management responsibilities, Clausen also contributes to hospitality education as a guest lecturer at École hôtelière de Lausanne.
His work in this area focuses on developing future hospitality professionals. It also supports continued learning within hotel organisations.
New Leadership Role at Park Hyatt London River Thames
In his new position, Clausen will oversee the operations and commercial development of Park Hyatt London River Thames. He will also be responsible for the property’s guest service and workforce strategy.
With his international luxury hospitality background and experience across multiple hotel disciplines, Clausen will lead the London property as it continues to develop its operational and commercial performance.
