New 176-key Radisson Hotel & Suites to anchor Cambodia’s fast-rising Bay of Lights coastal hub, opening early 2029

Radisson Hotel Group has signed Radisson Hotel & Suites Bay of Lights Sihanoukville, a 176-key hotel that will debut in early 2029 within the transformative Bay of Lights development. The project marks a major milestone in the Group’s Cambodia growth strategy, joining two Phnom Penh openings already in the pipeline.

Located in the Gateway District, the first phase of the Bay of Lights master township, the hotel positions Radisson at the heart of Sihanoukville’s government-led reinvention into a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) by 2038. The mixed-use coastal city is rapidly emerging as a hub for finance, trade, industry, transport, and technology, creating demand that spans both business and leisure.

The property will feature a balanced mix of rooms and serviced apartments, most with panoramic ocean views, alongside three dining venues, a rooftop pool, spa, and fitness center. Just five minutes from a private beach and adjacent to the central business district, the hotel is also within easy reach of Sihanoukville International Airport (25 minutes) and Serendipity Pier (20 minutes).

Sihanoukville is a hidden gem of Southeast Asia, offering a unique blend of coastal beauty and fast-growing economic opportunities. The signing of Radisson Hotel & Suites Sihanoukville underlines our commitment to expanding in Cambodia’s key destinations, complementing our pipeline in Phnom Penh,” said Ramzy Fenianos, Chief Development Officer, APAC, Radisson Hotel Group.

The Bay of Lights spans 934 hectares, integrating residential, financial, leisure, and cultural attractions. The hotel will sit in the Bay of Lights International Convention Center (BICC) district, strategically positioned amid premium retail, duty-free shopping, a golf course, and a planned marina. Infrastructure upgrades—including the relocation of the provincial administrative center in 2026, Sihanoukville Airport expansion, and the Phnom Penh–Sihanoukville Expressway—are set to accelerate visitor growth, with conventions and events projected to attract 650,000 visitors annually.

Backed by strong government policy, robust industrial development, and the Bay of Lights’ integrated ecosystem, Radisson Hotel & Suites Sihanoukville is poised to deliver high-end hospitality experiences while ensuring sustainable returns for investors.

With Sihanoukville already welcoming 5 million visitors in 2024, the destination is primed to become a leading tourism and business hub in Cambodia, offering everything from white-sand beaches to cultural landmarks and eco-adventures.
