Historic Siem Reap icon lauded for sustainability, innovation, and responsible luxury.

A Landmark of Heritage and Sustainability

The legendary Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor has once again been recognized with the Green Globe Certification, underscoring the 93-year-old hotel’s enduring commitment to sustainable hospitality.

Located at the gateway to Cambodia’s ancient Khmer archaeological treasures, the property was honoured for its efficient resource management, community engagement, and innovative environmental initiatives — setting the benchmark for responsible luxury in Southeast Asia.

Redefining Luxury with Purpose

“Our sustainable future is a vision of luxury that is authentic and responsible, defined not by opulence and excess but by refinement, respect, and mindfulness,” said Joseph Colina, General Manager of Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor.

“We are delighted to be recognised for our efforts by one of the world’s leading authorities on sustainable travel.”

This accolade celebrates the hotel’s mission to blend its storied heritage with modern eco-conscious practices that benefit both guests and the local community.

Innovative Green Practices in Action

As part of its sustainability roadmap, the hotel introduced a fleet of electric tuk-tuks, providing guests with a quiet, zero-emission transport option to explore Siem Reap. These e-tuk-tuks feature in the hotel’s Curated Journeys, such as Reflections of Angkor, where guests capture the beauty of Cambodia’s temples under the guidance of a veteran photographer.

Beyond transportation, Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor continuously refines its energy efficiency, waste reduction, and local sourcing initiatives to ensure long-term environmental and community impact.
