Rosewood Hotel Group accelerates global growth with its first ski resort in Courchevel and landmark luxury hotel and residence openings worldwide

Rosewood Hotel Group has announced a significant expansion of its global development pipeline with the on-schedule opening of Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, marking the brand’s first-ever ski resort. The landmark debut signals Rosewood’s entry into a new hospitality sector while reinforcing its presence across some of the world’s most sought-after luxury destinations and high-growth markets.

The Courchevel opening follows seven additional on-track launches in 2025, including the brand’s first standalone residential offering for exclusive sale, Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills. Together with the forthcoming Rosewood AMAALA in Saudi Arabia, these developments underscore the Group’s commitment to quality-driven expansion, experience-led travel, and operational excellence across its global portfolio.

A Milestone Debut: Rosewood’s First Ski Resort

Located in the prestigious Courchevel 1850 village, Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin introduces the brand’s refined, residential-style luxury to one of the world’s most celebrated alpine destinations.

Designed to reflect a deep sense of place, the resort features:

  • Direct ski-in/ski-out access
  • Thoughtfully designed luxury accommodations
  • Elevated dining concepts
  • Curated wellness experiences
  • A striking lobby installation by renowned artist Olafur Eliasson, featuring crystalline, snowflake-inspired forms set within mirrored walls and ceilings

The result is an intimate alpine retreat that celebrates the natural beauty, artistry, and exclusivity of the French Alps—while remaining unmistakably Rosewood.

Purpose-Driven Growth Across Three Continents

With the opening of Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, Rosewood Hotel Group reaches eight openings in 2025 across three continents. These include:

  • Seven Rosewood properties, including a standalone Rosewood Residences project
  • New World Jinzhou Hotel in China

According to Sonia Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, the Courchevel debut reflects the Group’s long-term strategy:

“Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, our first ski resort, is a milestone that reflects our long-term commitment to thoughtfully expanding our global portfolio and our ability to enter new, experience-driven sectors.”

She added that Rosewood’s ambition remains focused on growing with purpose, creating enduring value, and delivering transformative experiences that resonate with local communities and global travellers alike.
