The St. Regis Macao has announced that The St. Regis Bar has been named to the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list, ranking No. 45 and earning the title of Best Bar in Macao.
The recognition confirms The St. Regis Bar’s position among Asia’s leading cocktail destinations. It also highlights the bar’s artistry, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
Announced at a ceremony in Macao on July 28, the accolade carries particular significance. The St. Regis Bar is the only Macao bar featured on this year’s list, further reinforcing its role in showcasing the city’s sophisticated bar scene.
Known for its refined ambiance, signature rituals, and innovative cocktail craftsmanship, The St. Regis Bar continues to raise Macao’s profile on the international mixology stage.
“We are incredibly proud of this achievement and deeply honored to be recognized among Asia’s finest,” said Mr. Stuart Wayne Douglas, General Manager of The St. Regis Macao. “This distinguished recognition is a testament to the passion and dedication of our team. We extend our sincere gratitude to the drinks experts, bartenders, and drinks writers across Asia who voted for us — your continued support is truly invaluable to us.”
A Benchmark of Industry Excellence
Asia’s 50 Best Bars is among the industry’s most respected rankings. The list is determined by votes from more than 300 bar experts across Asia.
Each voter can select up to seven bars based on visits made during an 18-month period. In addition, voting is confidential, while strict rules prohibit self-voting and external influence. As a result, the ranking aims to provide a fair and credible reflection of Asia’s bar scene.
Elevating The Art of Mixology Through Guest Shifts
The Art of Mixology is a signature guest shift series curated by The St. Regis Bar Macao. Through the program, renowned and award-winning mixologists take part in exclusive one-night engagements, introducing their distinctive cocktail creations to Macao’s locals and international visitors.
In 2026, the program expanded with immersive experiences that celebrate creativity, culture, and collaboration.
One highlight was Taiwan Bartender Week in January. Visiting bartenders partnered with local talents for an interactive Bloody Mary Challenge. Together, they explored Macao’s traditional markets and sourced fresh regional ingredients before creating their own interpretations of the iconic cocktail.
The experience transformed mixology into a cultural exchange while connecting bartenders from different destinations.
Then, in March, The St. Regis Bar marked International Women’s Day with a special edition featuring six esteemed guest bartenders from leading bars across Asia. The event celebrated the artistry, dedication, and growing influence of women in the bar industry.
Signature Cocktails and St. Regis Traditions
As one of Macao’s leading bar destinations, The St. Regis Bar offers guests artisan cocktails and beverages alongside a sumptuous food menu.
Its cocktail program includes the Bloody Mary “World Collection,” with Macao’s own interpretation, Maria do Leste. Inspired by the city’s distinctive East-meets-West culture, the cocktail reflects Macao’s unique heritage.
The Violet Hour, meanwhile, explores the transition from day to evening through three distinctive martinis.
The bar also features a collection of 15 New York-inspired cocktails. These creations pay tribute to the legacy and glamour of the original House of Astor, The St. Regis New York.
Additionally, mixologist Kevin Lai presents cocktails inspired by the heritage and character of both Macao and New York City.
Celebrating the Art of Mixology
The St. Regis Bar also marks key occasions in the cocktail calendar, including World Cocktail Day on May 13 and World Martini Day on June 20.
In keeping with St. Regis tradition, the bar uses these occasions to reinterpret classic recipes with contemporary touches. The resulting bespoke cocktails combine innovation and refinement while celebrating the heritage of these iconic drinks.
A New Chapter for The St. Regis Bar Macao
The St. Regis Bar’s inclusion in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 reinforces its commitment to mixology and the creation of memorable guest experiences.
As the bar enters a new chapter of distinction, The St. Regis Macao invites guests to raise a glass in celebration — honoring a legacy of elegance, innovation, and the timeless spirit of St. Regis hospitality.
