China hotel performance

China’s hotel performance improved in August 2026, following a slower start to the summer season. However, rising hotel supply continued to outpace demand, putting pressure on occupancy, average daily rates and revenue across much of the market. According to CoStar hospitality data, hotel supply in Mainland China increased by 2.4%
