SÉZANNE at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo Retains Coveted Three Michelin Stars

Chef Daniel Calvert’s modern French dining room celebrates its second consecutive three-Michelin-star win, capping a season of global recognition

On September 25, 2025, the Michelin Guide Tokyo reaffirmed its highest honor for SÉZANNE, the signature French restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi. For the second year in a row, the Guide awarded the restaurant its prestigious three-star rating — underscoring Chef Daniel Calvert’s extraordinary vision and consistency.

The milestone is the latest in SÉZANNE’s meteoric rise: one Michelin star within six months of opening in 2021, a second star in 2022, and the coveted third star in 2024. This year also brought global acclaim, with SÉZANNE ranking #7 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 and earning the title of Best Restaurant in Japan from Asia’s 50 Best.

“Every day, our team pushes beyond what’s expected, and that’s what makes SÉZANNE so dynamic,” says Chef Daniel. “We’re grateful to Michelin for recognizing that spirit — and to our partners across Japan who help shape every plate.”

General Manager Jens Wycisk adds: “What sets SÉZANNE apart is intention — from how we source ingredients to how we connect with guests. This recognition reflects the entire team’s dedication to creating unforgettable dining experiences.”

Set in Tokyo’s dynamic Marunouchi district, SÉZANNE blends French culinary tradition with Japan’s finest seasonal produce. The restaurant’s design by Andre Fu offers relaxed luxury, pairing a warm dining room with an open show kitchen and an intimate Chef’s Table that spotlights the artistry behind every dish.
