Trip.com Group’s 2025 Global Partner Summit in Istanbul unveiled new AI tools, global strategies, and expanded Türkiye partnerships for smarter travel
At the crossroads of continents, Trip.com Group convened global travel leaders and partners in Istanbul for the 2025 Global Partner Summit, reaffirming its vision to drive innovation, strengthen collaboration, and promote sustainable growth across the global travel ecosystem.
The summit unveiled new strategies and milestones to enhance customer and partner experiences worldwide, alongside the expansion of Trip.com Group’s partnership with the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) — reinforcing Asia–Europe travel cooperation and highlighting Türkiye’s rising influence in global tourism.
Innovation and AI-Driven Growth
At the Istanbul Congress Centre, Trip.com Group Co-founder and Chairman James Liang underscored the transformative power of innovation in shaping travel.
“Travel embodies human creativity and progress,” Liang said. “Through AI and collaboration, we can redefine exploration and build a smarter, more sustainable future.”
A key highlight was Trip.Planner, the Group’s AI-powered itinerary tool integrating real-time transport data and over 20 million points of interest. The platform complements other AI-led innovations such as Trip.Best, Trip.Pulse, and Trip.Events, all part of the expanding Trip Community ecosystem that connects travellers from inspiration to booking.
The Group also continues to recognise excellence through its Tourism Innovation Awards, which honour global leaders in cultural heritage, sustainability, and technology.
Sustaining Global Momentum
Trip.com Group CEO Jane Sun reported robust growth, with total bookings on Trip.com rising 60% year-on-year in the first half of 2025.
“This is a defining moment for our industry,” Sun noted. “Through our 3T pillars — Talent, Technology, and Trust — we are unlocking new opportunities and driving value for travellers and partners worldwide.”
The company is focusing on event-driven travel, premium wellness and pet-friendly stays, and silver-generation experiences, all of which are fueling steady growth. Its Trip.Biz division continues global expansion, offering integrated corporate travel solutions across more than 30 markets.

Strengthening Asia–Europe Ties
The enhanced partnership with Türkiye’s TGA, first launched in 2022, now spans flight connectivity, accommodations, local attractions, and data collaboration. The opening of Trip.com Group’s Istanbul office in late 2024 reflects its long-term commitment to the region, where traveller engagement has surged over 50% year-on-year.
“Together with our partners, we will continue building bridges that connect travellers to inspiring destinations like Türkiye,” Sun added.
The company remains focused on advancing innovation, strengthening partnerships, and enabling global travellers to connect more meaningfully with the world.
