Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hotel arm of Dusit International, will bring its locally focused and affordable lifestyle brand, ASAI Hotels, to Malaysia.
The new ASAI Gamuda Cove is scheduled to welcome its first guests on 15 September 2026.
The 13-storey hotel sits within the 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township, around 20 minutes by car from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
It will become the largest ASAI property to date. The hotel also marks Dusit’s second property in Malaysia, following Dusit Princess Melaka.
In addition, ASAI Gamuda Cove will be the brand’s first hotel outside a city neighbourhood. It joins three established ASAI properties in Bangkok and Kyoto.
ASAI Gamuda Cove Brings Guests Closer to Nature
ASAI Gamuda Cove embraces the brand’s “Live Local” slogan by putting Selangor’s nature experiences close to guests.
The hotel sits beside the 1,111-acre Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. The nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary gives visitors the chance to see native wildlife and explore a rare freshwater wetland landscape.
Next to it, the 90-acre Wetlands Arboretum offers another way to discover the area’s biodiversity. The living tree museum features walking routes, birdwatching and environmental learning activities.
Guests can also visit the family-friendly SplashMania Waterpark, which features 39 slides and attractions.
Meanwhile, Discovery Park provides an outdoor recreation and entertainment hub for families and adventure seekers.
An electric tram network connects key destinations across the township. As a result, guests can move between its nature, recreation and commercial areas without relying on private vehicles.
280 Rooms Designed for Flexibility
ASAI Gamuda Cove will feature 280 rooms, with the design focused on comfort, efficient use of space and flexibility.
Room options range from compact accommodations for solo travellers and couples to balcony rooms and bunk-bed configurations.
The hotel will also offer a two-room family category that can accommodate up to six guests.
Selected rooms will overlook the wetlands. All rooms will include fast Wi-Fi, smart televisions, walk-in showers and practical storage.

Dining, Wellness and Social Spaces
Beyond the rooms, the hotel will feature an infinity pool overlooking the wetlands and a gym.
Guests can also use co-working areas and flexible meeting and event spaces. These venues can accommodate up to 100 people.
The hotel will offer three dining venues, with Malaysian flavours at the centre of the culinary offering. Thai and international dishes will also feature.
Nasi & Khao is the all-day dining restaurant. It draws on the shared comfort-food traditions of Malaysia and Thailand.
The menu brings together Malaysian classics, vibrant Thai flavours and familiar Western dishes in a relaxed setting.
Tea Shop offers a warm, community-focused space for curated teas and light bites. It will operate from morning until late.
At Pool Bar, guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, refreshments and snacks. The venue also offers views across the infinity pool and Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands.
Close to Sepang International Circuit
ASAI Gamuda Cove will also place guests around 20 minutes by car from Sepang International Circuit.
Formula 1 will return to Malaysia for the first time since 2017 in 2026. The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia will take place from 2–4 October 2026.
The hotel’s location therefore offers convenient access to the circuit during the race weekend.
ASAI Expands Its Footprint in Asia
ASAI Hotels was created for travellers who value well-designed essentials, accessible rates and a closer connection to the destinations they visit.
Each property combines compact and functional rooms with social, dining and co-working spaces shaped by its location.
ASAI Gamuda Cove will become the brand’s fourth operating hotel.
It will join ASAI Bangkok Chinatown and ASAI Bangkok Sathorn in Thailand, along with ASAI Kyoto Shijo in Japan.
Dusit Continues Malaysia Expansion
The opening will mark another step in Dusit’s expansion in Malaysia.
The company opened Dusit Princess Melaka in December 2024, marking its return to the Malaysian market.
Dusit’s presence in the country will grow further in October 2026 with the planned opening of Dusit Princess Ipoh.
