Capella Hotel Group today announced the launch of Capella Residences Bangkok, a 262-unit branded residential development forming the residential centrepiece of the WellEra project in Bangkok’s Lumpini district. Positioned at the intersection of Sarasin and Langsuan Roads and overlooking Lumpini Park, the project strengthens Bangkok’s positioning as a regional hub for luxury wellness-led living.

The residences mark a strategic expansion for Capella Hotel Group into wellness-integrated branded residences. It is also the brand’s first fully embedded residential concept within a structured medical and wellness ecosystem.

Wellness-integrated living concept

Capella Residences Bangkok is developed as part of the broader WellEra vision, alongside BDMS Wellness Clinic, a preventive healthcare and urban wellness centre, and curated lifestyle retail components.

The project is delivered in partnership with BDMS Wellness Clinic, under Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), one of Asia-Pacific’s leading healthcare networks.

The concept is designed around a continuous wellness lifestyle model, where healthcare, design, and daily living are integrated into one environment rather than separated systems.

Daily life designed around health and longevity

Residents are supported by a wellness concierge service offering personalised health protocols and access to wellness specialists on demand. A “vitality checkpoint” introduces biometric monitoring into everyday routines, while curated wellness programming focuses on longevity, nutrition, and preventive care.

Social and recreational spaces are also integrated into the residential experience, including wellness lounges, mindfulness studios, spa suites, infinity-edge swimming pools, and relaxation areas overlooking the Bangkok skyline.

A new direction for branded residences in Asia

Capella’s residential expansion builds on its existing hospitality footprint across Asia, including Singapore and Shanghai, with future projects planned in Nanjing and Seoul. The Bangkok development represents a shift toward fully integrated wellness ecosystems rather than standalone luxury residences.

According to Capella Hotel Group President Roland Fasel, the project extends the brand’s hospitality philosophy beyond short stays into everyday living, combining personalised service with long-term wellbeing-focused design.

BDMS Chairperson Dr. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth described WellEra as a multi-billion-baht investment in a new model of integrated wellness living, combining medicine, science, technology, and lifestyle within a single ecosystem designed around preventive health.

Why it matters

The launch reflects a broader regional trend: luxury hospitality brands moving into residential wellness ecosystems, where healthcare, lifestyle, and branded living converge. Bangkok is increasingly positioned as a testing ground for this model in Southeast Asia.
