Conrad Nagoya opens at The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, bringing Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ contemporary luxury to Nagoya, Japan

Hilton has announced the opening of Conrad Nagoya in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., marking the debut of Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Nagoya and strengthening Hilton’s growing luxury presence in Japan.

The opening brings Conrad’s bold, contemporary approach to luxury to one of Japan’s most dynamic destinations. Beyond its role as a major manufacturing hub, Nagoya is known for its vibrant culinary scene, centuries-old craftsmanship and distinctive cultural traditions.

As the largest brand within Hilton’s luxury portfolio, Conrad continues to expand its global presence. The brand now has 51 hotels across five continents, supported by a strong development pipeline.

Conrad Nagoya reflects the elements driving that growth, combining bold design, intuitive service and experiences designed to connect guests more closely with the culture and character of each destination.

Prime Location in Central Nagoya

Conrad Nagoya is located in the heart of Nagoya’s business and shopping district, offering convenient access to major attractions such as Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine.

The hotel also provides a gateway to Central Japan’s renowned destinations, including Ise and Takayama. As a result, guests can explore the region’s artistry, heritage and cultural traditions beyond the city.

Housed on the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, the tallest skyscraper in Nagoya’s Sakae district, the hotel is directly connected to Sakae Station. Its location places guests close to the city’s business, shopping and cultural centre.

“ The opening of Conrad Nagoya, in partnership with our valued owner, Mitsubishi Estate, marks an important milestone for Hilton,” said Joseph Khairallah, area vice president, head of Japan, Korea and Micronesia, Hilton.

“Nagoya has played a significant role in our history since the opening of Hilton Nagoya in 1989. The debut of Conrad Nagoya further reinforces our commitment to this vibrant destination, and we look forward to delivering memorable experiences for guests from Japan and across the globe.”

Contemporary Guestrooms with Nagoya Skyline Views

Conrad Nagoya features 170 guestrooms, including 29 suites. Each room spans more than 50 square metres and features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Nagoya skyline.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of the Sakae district, the guestrooms feature bespoke metal art pieces representing the movement of people, light and the rhythm of the city. These details bring the metropolitan character of Nagoya into the guestroom experience.

The hotel’s signature Conrad Suite is located on the 40th floor. Spanning 213 square metres, the suite offers panoramic city views while combining bold contemporary design with residential-style comfort.

Six Restaurants and Bars Showcase Tokai Cuisine

Spread across the 31st and 40th floors, Conrad Nagoya’s six restaurants and bars showcase culinary traditions from the Tokai region. The venues combine contemporary Japanese and international influences while highlighting Nagoya’s distinctive dining culture and craftsmanship.

At SUNDROP, the hotel’s lobby lounge and bar, guests can enjoy afternoon tea, cocktails and globally inspired cuisine in a light-filled setting overlooking the city.

CASA OLIVA celebrates Italian culinary heritage with timeless dishes and a wine programme featuring more than 100 Italian labels. Meanwhile, SONGBIRD serves specialty coffee, pastries and seasonal sweets.

On the 40th floor, SORYU presents a contemporary sushi kaiseki experience inspired by the craftsmanship of traditional sushi. SOEN, meanwhile, showcases teppan kaiseki rooted in Japanese culinary traditions.

Completing the collection is HOUSE OF MON, a rooftop bar serving craft cocktails alongside sweeping views across Nagoya’s skyline.

Designed as an urban retreat above the city, the wellness facilities give guests opportunities to relax, rejuvenate and recharge throughout their stay.

Flexible Meetings and Events

Conrad Nagoya also offers dedicated meeting and event facilities across the 10th and 11th floors.

The Grand Ballroom provides 342 square metres of flexible event space and features an eight-metre-high ceiling. The Akari meeting spaces offer versatile configurations and can be divided into four separate rooms.

Designed for corporate meetings, social gatherings and celebratory occasions, the venues are supported by advanced audiovisual technology and a dedicated events team.

Discover Nagoya Through Conrad 1/3/5

Conrad Nagoya also introduces guests to the destination through Conrad’s signature Conrad 1/3/5 programme.

The concept offers curated experiences based on the amount of time guests have available, with one-hour, three-hour and five-hour journeys highlighting the culture, adventure and local character of the destination.

Guests can explore Nagoya and the surrounding region through experiences focused on local craftsmanship, culinary traditions and cultural discovery.

Activities available at Conrad Nagoya include interactive cocktail-making sessions, traditional tea ceremonies, craft beer discoveries and miso-making workshops. Guests can also gain exclusive access to witness the 400-year-old heritage of Arimatsu Shibori, Japan’s renowned tie-dyeing craft.

“Conrad continues to evolve across Asia Pacific, bringing the brand’s distinctive point of view to destinations where we can create meaningful connections for today’s luxury traveler,” said Candice D’Cruz, vice president, Hilton Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific.

“Conrad Nagoya has been designed to feel relevant to the modern guest, offering greater choice and freedom to experience the city in their own way. With opportunities for discovery and experiences that are both personal and purposeful, the hotel reflects how Conrad is redefining luxury for a new generation of travelers.”

Mitsubishi Estate Highlights Nagoya’s Global Potential

Atsushi Nakajima, president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., welcomed the opening as an important addition to The Landmark Nagoya Sakae development.

“We are delighted to open Conrad Nagoya. The hotel serves as the symbolic centerpiece of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, a development envisioned as a hub for cultural exchange and value creation,” said Nakajima.
