Dusit Thani Bangkok has been awarded Two Michelin Keys in the Michelin Guide’s 2026 global hotel selection

Dusit Thani Bangkok has been awarded Two Michelin Keys in the Michelin Guide’s 2026 global hotel selection, while several other Dusit Hotels and Resorts properties and restaurants have retained or received Michelin recognition.

The Bangkok hotel was elevated from One to Two Michelin Keys, which the Michelin Guide uses to denote an exceptional stay. The recognition adds to Michelin distinctions across Dusit International’s hotel and dining portfolio in Thailand, Japan, the Philippines and the UAE.

Dusit Thani Bangkok Receives Two Michelin Keys

Dusit Thani Bangkok is the reimagined flagship hotel of Dusit International, located opposite Lumpini Park in Bangkok.

The 257-room property was rebuilt on the site of the original Dusit Thani Bangkok. The first hotel opened in 1970 and closed for redevelopment in 2019.

The current hotel reopened in September 2024 as part of Dusit Central Park, a mixed-use development that includes the hotel, luxury residences, offices, retail and a rooftop park.

Dusit said the new property was designed to continue the identity of the original Dusit Thani while introducing a contemporary interpretation. All guest rooms offer views of Lumpini Park.

The hotel forms part of Dusit’s wider approach to its luxury portfolio. This combines its Thai hospitality heritage with contemporary design and personalised service, while experiences are shaped around each destination.

Michelin Keys Across Dusit’s Hotel Portfolio

Elsewhere, Dusit Thani Kyoto in Japan and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort in the Philippines have each retained One Michelin Key.

Michelin uses One Key to recognise a very special stay. The two properties maintain Dusit’s Michelin Key presence across three countries.

Meanwhile, ASAI Bangkok Chinatown, ASAI Bangkok Sathorn and ASAI Kyoto Shijo are included in the Michelin Guide’s curated hotel selection.

All three properties belong to ASAI Hotels, Dusit’s lifestyle brand focused on locally oriented stays. Michelin inspectors select properties for the hotel selection based on factors including quality, individual character and connections to their destinations.

Michelin Recognition for Dusit Restaurants

Michelin recognition also extends to Dusit’s restaurant portfolio.

At Dusit Thani Bangkok, Cannubi by Umberto Bombana holds One Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Thailand 2026. The contemporary Italian restaurant is the only Italian restaurant in Thailand to hold the distinction, according to Dusit.

Cannubi received its first Michelin Star when the 2026 edition was announced in November 2025.

In Bangkok, Thien Duong, the Vietnamese restaurant at Baan Dusit Thani, has retained its Michelin Bib Gourmand. The distinction recognises good-quality, good-value cooking.

In the Philippines, Benjarong, which serves Thai cuisine, and Umu, a Japanese restaurant, at Dusit Thani Manila are both included as Michelin Selected restaurants in the Michelin Guide Philippines 2026.

In the UAE, Namak, the contemporary Indian restaurant at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, continues as a Michelin Selected restaurant.

Together, the latest Michelin distinctions cover Dusit properties and dining concepts across several brands and destinations.

Dusit International on the Michelin Recognition

Chanin Donavanik, Group CEO, Dusit International, said the recognition reflects the work of teams across the group’s portfolio.

“Receiving Two Michelin Keys for Dusit Thani Bangkok is a tremendous honour, and one made even more meaningful by the wider Michelin recognition our hotels and restaurants continue to receive across several destinations,” he said. “These achievements belong first and foremost to our teams, whose skill, creativity, and care shape the experiences our guests enjoy every day. They also affirm our belief that staying true to our Thai hospitality heritage while continually evolving for the needs of today’s travellers can create experiences that resonate far beyond our home market. We are immensely proud of what our teams have achieved, and we will continue building on this foundation across our portfolio.”
