HVS Executive Search has announced the return of Kate Shehan as Executive Vice President. She will be based in Annapolis, Maryland.
Shehan previously served as Vice President with HVS Executive Search from 2018 to 2020. She returns to the firm after several years running her own boutique retained search practice, TalentPursuit Executive Search.
Through TalentPursuit Executive Search, Shehan focused on C-suite, vice president, director and corporate leadership placements. Her work covered hospitality, multi-unit service, food manufacturing, technology and corporate organisations. She also advised clients on executive talent intelligence and long-term organisational growth.
More than 25 Years of Industry Experience
Shehan brings more than 25 years of experience spanning executive search, restaurant operations and human resources.
Her previous executive roles include positions with Legal Sea Foods, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Crown Golf Properties and Chart House Restaurants. These roles gave her experience in food and beverage operations as well as executive recruitment.
Throughout her career, Shehan has worked with hospitality companies, private equity firms, franchisors and service-focused organisations on leadership recruitment and talent strategies.
Role at HVS Executive Search
In her new role as Executive Vice President, Shehan will lead retained search engagements and develop client relationships. She will also support the development of junior consultants.
In addition, Shehan will work with CEO Alice Sherman as the firm continues its growth.

Shehan’s return brings her previous experience with HVS Executive Search together with several years of independent executive-search work.
Her background spans hospitality operations, human resources and leadership recruitment. At HVS Executive Search, she will focus on retained searches, client development and consultant development while working with Sherman on the firm’s continued expansion.
