I stayed at Hotel Éclat Beijing, an art-focused hotel in Beijing’s Central Business District, to experience its rooms, dining venues and distinctive design.
Located within the Parkview Green development in Chaoyang, the hotel combines accommodation with an extensive art collection. It has 100 rooms and suites, as well as restaurants, a bar, meeting spaces and a 24-hour fitness centre.
The Hotel
Hotel Éclat Beijing is a boutique-style hotel with a business-friendly location. Its interiors combine contemporary design with an extensive collection of art displayed throughout the property.
The collection includes more than 100 works, including sculptures and paintings associated with artists such as Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Fan Xiaoyan, Liu Ruowang, Gao Xiaowu, Shen Jingdong and Chen Wenling.
The building itself is difficult to miss. Its pyramid-shaped structure uses steel and glass, giving the property a distinctive appearance within Parkview Green.
The hotel also says it has the largest Salvador Dali art collection in Asia.
Booking.com lists the property with a 9.7 location rating for couples travelling as two people. Hotel Éclat Beijing was also named “Best Art Boutique Hotel 2024” by The Best BANG Awards.
In addition, the hotel was recognised for the fourth consecutive year among the Best Hotels in mainland China in the 2024 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

Location
Hotel Éclat Beijing is located in the Central Business District’s Parkview Green development in Chaoyang.
The property is within walking distance of parks and embassies. Dongdaqiao Metro Station on Line 6 is about a 10-minute walk away, while Yong’anli Station on Line 1 is around five minutes away by car.
Shi Mao Tian Jie is approximately a five-minute walk from the hotel. Sanlitun Village is around 10 minutes away by car.
Tian’anmen Square and the CBD are both about 15 minutes away by car. Beijing Capital International Airport is approximately 35 minutes away, while Beijing Daxing International Airport takes around 70 minutes by car.
For business travellers, the location provides convenient access to the CBD while also putting restaurants, shopping and cultural attractions within reach.
Rooms
Hotel Éclat Beijing has nine room and suite categories, ranging from the 35-square-metre Deluxe Room to the 300-square-metre Presidential Suite.
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room.
The rooms feature hardwood floors, separate rain showers and bathtubs, as well as Miller Harris London bathroom amenities. International television channels are also available.
Standard in-room facilities include a Bang & Olufsen audio system, Illy coffee machine, branded massage chair and Samsung 3D LCD television with Blu-ray DVD player. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
My Deluxe King Room also included a complimentary minibar, with the exception of champagne.

Suites
The larger suites offer some of the hotel’s more distinctive accommodation options.
The Grand Deluxe Lagoon Suites have outdoor terraces with private lagoon pools. The two-bedroom Champs-Élysées Suite also has a private terrace.
The 224-square-metre Champs-Élysées Suite includes two bedrooms, maid’s quarters and a 124-square-metre terrace. The terrace has a dining area for up to 12 people, along with indoor and outdoor lounge areas.
The 200-square-metre Miami Suite features a baby grand piano in its living area. Its 10-metre private jet pool is located on the sky terrace, which also has a dining table for up to 18 people.
The Grand Deluxe Lagoon Suite includes two living areas, a bedroom and a lagoon pool. It also has a kitchenette.
At the time of my stay, I heard that the Presidential Suite was due to reopen following a major renovation.

In-Room Dining
Room service is available 24 hours a day.
The menu includes Western, Chinese and Japanese dishes, as well as options for vegetarian, wellness, day-tripper and flight-bite meals.
Guests can also use the in-room dining service when entertaining in their suites.
Dining
Hotel Éclat Beijing has three dining venues: George’s Restaurant, Xin Ming Yuen Chinese Restaurant and ITO Japanese Restaurant.
The hotel also operates George’s Bar and provides 24-hour room service.
George’s Restaurant
George’s Restaurant serves modern European cuisine.
The restaurant provides complimentary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and happy-hour drinks for in-house guests.
One of its signature dishes is Beef Tartare, which is prepared at the table according to the guest’s preference.

Xin Ming Yuen Chinese Restaurant
Xin Ming Yuen is located on LG1 of Parkview Green FangCaoDi.
Its design combines elements associated with Hong Kong and Shanghai, while Executive Chef Li Cheung oversees the Cantonese menu.
Dishes include traditional Cantonese specialties, seafood, Teochew braised dishes and dim sum.
ITO Japanese Restaurant
ITO is located in Parkview Green FangCaoDi and includes a robatayaki area and teppanyaki booths connecting indoor and outdoor spaces.
Head Chef Kalok Wong’s menu includes robatayaki, sushi, teppanyaki and hot-pot dishes.

George’s Bar
George’s Bar focuses on whisky, including a selection of single-cask single-malt whiskies.
The bar also has a broad selection of spirits and a wine list.
For in-house guests, complimentary evening cocktails are available from Tuesday to Saturday.

Fitness & Meetings
Hotel Éclat Beijing does not have a conventional swimming pool, although some of its suites have private pools.
The hotel does, however, have a 24-hour fitness centre equipped with free weights, weight machines, cardio equipment and yoga mats.
Butler and concierge services are available around the clock, as is room service.
For meetings and events, the hotel has several options, including suites with boardroom tables and the Cocoon on the 21st floor.
Cocoon is a larger ballroom space with an on-site pantry kitchen. Additional meeting and event spaces are also available for rent.
Bottom Line
Hotel Éclat Beijing is a distinctive option in Beijing’s CBD, particularly for travellers interested in art, contemporary design and a hotel with a strong visual identity.
Its location within Parkview Green provides convenient access to the CBD, while Dongdaqiao Metro Station is within walking distance.
The accommodation ranges from relatively compact Deluxe Rooms to large suites with private terraces and pools. Dining covers European, Cantonese and Japanese cuisine, while the 24-hour fitness centre, butler and concierge services add to the hotel’s facilities.
For me, the defining feature is the combination of the building’s architecture and its extensive art collection. It gives Hotel Éclat Beijing a character that is quite different from a conventional business hotel.
