IHG Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its presence in Taiwan with five new hotel signings and the launch of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App. The latest developments will expand IHG’s brand portfolio while giving members more convenient access to digital services.
IHG currently operates 17 hotels across eight brands in Taiwan, spanning luxury and lifestyle, premium, and essentials segments. Meanwhile, the new signings will extend its footprint across Taipei, Taitung and Pingtung, covering urban, cultural, hot spring and leisure destinations.
Importantly, the expansion will also mark the Taiwan debut of HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts.
Five New Hotels Expand IHG’s Taiwan Presence
IHG Hotels & Resorts is continuing to broaden its portfolio in Taiwan to meet changing traveller needs across different destinations and stay occasions.
HUALUXE Taipei will introduce HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts to the Taiwan market for the first time. The culturally inspired brand will showcase local heritage through thoughtful service, tea, dining and social experiences.
In eastern Taiwan, Crowne Plaza Taitung Zhiben Hot Spring will bring the Crowne Plaza brand to the renowned Zhiben Hot Spring destination. The property is expected to combine relaxation, nature and opportunities to explore the surrounding area.
Further south, Holiday Inn Pingtung City Center will become the first international branded hotel in Pingtung. The property will bring IHG’s internationally recognised hospitality standards to the city while supporting the region’s growing tourism and business demand.
Meanwhile, a new dual-brand development in Taipei will feature voco Taipei Shihlin and Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin.
For voco, the project will be its first hotel in northern Taiwan and first newly built property in the market. Drawing inspiration from Shihlin’s cultural heritage, commercial energy and local lifestyle, voco Taipei Shihlin will offer a distinctive stay experience.
Alongside it, Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin will provide flexible accommodation for business travellers, leisure guests and short-stay visitors.

HUALUXE Makes Its Taiwan Debut
The arrival of HUALUXE represents another milestone in IHG’s Taiwan expansion.
The brand is designed around culturally inspired hospitality, with experiences that connect guests with local traditions and contemporary Chinese culture. Its debut in Taipei will therefore add a new dimension to IHG’s existing portfolio in the market.
Daniel Aylmer, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said:
“The Taiwan market offers rich tourism resources and distinctive cultural heritage, creating diverse travel opportunities. The introduction of new projects, including the debut of HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts in the Taiwan market, reflects our commitment to meeting evolving traveller needs through a broader range of brands and experiences.”
He added that the new digital service would further strengthen the connection between IHG and its members in Taiwan.
IHG One Rewards Expands Digital Services in Taiwan
Alongside its hotel expansion, IHG is strengthening its digital member services with the launch of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App in Taiwan.
With more than 160 million members worldwide, IHG One Rewards continues to expand the ways members can interact with the programme. The new LINE MINI App adds another digital touchpoint through a platform widely used by consumers in Taiwan.
Through the app, members can manage key aspects of their IHG One Rewards membership. These include registration, points, membership status and benefits enquiries. Members can also access hotel information and make reservations through LINE.
As a result, the new platform brings membership services closer to travellers’ everyday digital habits while making travel planning more convenient.
Member Promotions Launch Throughout August
To celebrate the launch, IHG One Rewards is introducing a series of initiatives throughout August.
In addition to its one-stop membership functions, the LINE MINI App will feature gamified experiences and promotional activities. Members can earn LINE Points and have opportunities to win concert tickets from Live Nation Asia through selected promotions.
The programme will also offer member-only activities designed to encourage engagement and exploration of IHG’s hotel portfolio.
IHG Continues Taiwan Expansion
The five new signings and the launch of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App underline IHG Hotels & Resorts’ broader growth strategy in Taiwan.
By expanding across Taipei, Taitung and Pingtung, IHG is adding brands and properties suited to a wider range of travel occasions. At the same time, its digital initiatives are creating more convenient ways for members to connect with the group.
Looking ahead, IHG Hotels & Resorts said it will continue to expand its hotel portfolio and digital capabilities in Taiwan. The group will work with local owners and partners to create more relevant and seamless travel experiences for guests.
