A subsidiary of Jin Jiang Hotels has entered a strategic partnership with Trip.com Travel Singapore Pte. Ltd. The two companies aim to create greater value for travelers across ASEAN.
They have signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement covers ten ASEAN markets: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Brunei.
Through the partnership, the companies will combine their ecosystems and platform strengths. As a result, they aim to grow their brands and support the hospitality sector across the region.
A New Commercial Framework for ASEAN Hotels
The long-term alliance focuses on resource sharing, shared strengths and joint marketing.
A key part of the agreement is a unified fixed commission structure. It will apply to participating properties of the Jin Jiang Hotels subsidiary across the ten ASEAN markets.
This model will replace traditional floating commission structures. As a result, hotel franchisees can expect greater transparency and more predictable costs.
The new framework also aims to support long-term growth. In addition, it could give hotel owners and franchisees greater confidence when planning their businesses.
Connecting Hotels With Global Travelers
The partnership will also bring together the companies’ strengths across the travel journey.
Together, they plan to offer a more seamless experience. This will cover cross-border bookings, destination activities, local stays and after-sales support.
In particular, the partnership combines the subsidiary’s hotel portfolio with Trip.com’s global online reach. Therefore, it aims to help ASEAN hotels attract more overseas travelers.
The companies also expect the integrated approach to support higher occupancy. At the same time, hotels may attract a broader mix of guests through a one-stop travel platform.
Building a Tourism and Accommodation Ecosystem
Beyond hotel distribution, the companies plan to deepen their cooperation through joint marketing and resource sharing.
Together, they aim to build a “tourism + accommodation” ecosystem across ASEAN.
The initiative will strengthen links between tourism markets. It will also support local hotel sectors and create more value for travelers.
Expanding a Local Presence in Southeast Asia
Meanwhile, the Jin Jiang Hotels subsidiary continues to grow its presence in Southeast Asia.
The company has established dedicated development and operations teams in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. These teams will support its growth across the region.
In addition, the company uses its hospitality standards, smart systems and Global Purchasing Platform (GPP) to adapt to local market needs. At the same time, it aims to support local economic growth.
This foundation will support upcoming hotel openings across Southeast Asia. It will also help the company pursue a more tailored, brand-led and scalable growth strategy.
Ultimately, the partnership with Trip.com and a stronger local presence could support the company’s next stage of growth in ASEAN.
