JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Vivek Gomes Pereira as General Manager, following his leadership of the resort through its pre-opening phase and milestone launch.
As Marriott International’s landmark 10,000th property globally, the resort represents a defining moment in the company’s history. Vivek and his team have played a central role in shaping the property, from its pre-opening preparations through to its official launch.
Two Decades of Luxury Hospitality Experience
A graduate of the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development (OCLD), Vivek brings more than two decades of luxury hospitality experience, with a career spanning two of India’s most respected hospitality groups.
He spent more than a decade with The Oberoi Group, working across Mumbai and Bengaluru and progressing through successive leadership roles in food and beverage operations. In 2024, he joined Marriott International as Hotel Manager at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, one of the first luxury hotels to open in Delhi’s Aerocity district.
Throughout his career, Vivek has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams and delivering strong commercial results across complex luxury environments. His leadership approach is centred on observation and mentorship, creating an environment where associates feel trusted, invested in and empowered to make decisions.
This philosophy will also underpin his work to establish JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa as one of India’s foremost luxury wildlife destinations.
Building a Luxury Wildlife Destination
Speaking about his appointment, Vivek said the resort was developed around the belief that Ranthambore should be experienced beyond its renowned safari offering.
“JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa was built around a single conviction that Ranthambore deserves to be experienced far beyond the safari.”
The resort features 127 keys, including luxury tented suites, private family villas and a Presidential Suite. Its offering also includes four distinct dining destinations, Spa by JW, and a calendar of immersive cultural and wellness experiences.
Vivek said the combination was designed to encourage guests to stay longer, explore deeper and return, while creating meaningful experiences alongside his team.
A Passion for Food, Music and Local Experiences
Beyond hospitality, Vivek draws inspiration from music and its ability to bring people together and tell timeless stories.
A passionate food enthusiast, he also credits his Goan roots for shaping his appreciation of authentic flavours and local ingredients. These interests complement his belief that exceptional hospitality is ultimately built around memorable experiences.
At JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa, his focus will be on building on the resort’s distinctive positioning while developing a strong team culture and delivering meaningful experiences for guests.
