
Mekong Tourism Forum 2025
The Mekong Tourism Forum 2025 officially began in Luang Prabang, Laos PDR, under the theme “United Journey – Stronger Together,” with more than 230 tourism professionals and stakeholders gathering for the region’s leading tourism event to advance travel and tourism across the Greater Mekong Subregion.
Mrs Darany Phommavongsa, Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT) of Lao PDR delivered the opening address at the welcome dinner, setting the tone for the days ahead.
This annual forum serves as a collaborative platform for tourism stakeholders to explore the sustainable development, marketing, and promotion of travel to, from, and within the GMS. Throughout the event, delegates will engage with expert insights, participate in knowledge exchange, join workshops, and build meaningful connections—all aimed at shaping the future of connected and sustainable tourism in the region.
